Who Are We Becoming?

Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are:  adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like . . . - Galatians 5:19-21

I trust that everyone had a good Thanksgiving and that you have survived the ridiculousness of “Black Friday” and the beginning of the commercialized Christmas season.  This is the time of year that I am usually reflective on more spiritual things, where I am as a person, where this country is, etc.  I deliberately avoid any shopping or unnecessary errands other than grocery shopping.  I used to get caught up in getting that “great deal” and used to do my Christmas shopping whenever I could – even if that meant at the last minute.  However, I have changed in recent years.  Now, I get my shopping done early and utilize ordering stuff to avoid being in the crowds of crazies.  Then, I can relax and focus on more important things . . . as should be the case from the beginning.
We have become more and more commercialized and materialistic, as a society.  Personally, I’m sick of it.  We are about to be forced into another term with an administration who does not like America as we know it, nor do they acknowledge God in anything.  To my knowledge, Obama has now made it through 4 Thanksgiving statements without a single reference to God.  As I stated in my Thanksgiving series (go back and read the 2nd part if you haven’t already), Thanksgiving is ALL about God and cannot exist apart from Him.  However, it seems this administration thinks they are gods so I shouldn’t be too surprised.  Alas, society seems to keep going on the wrong path.  One look at the Drudge Report today, I saw a list of headlines from Black Friday chaos around the country.  I know it has always been a madhouse, but it just seems to keep getting worse.  Here’s a small screen shot of what I saw today:

You can go to the Drudge Report and click on any one of those links and read the actual stories.

Then, for more links and commentary, The Economic Collapse Blog posted this story.  I’d recommend you read over it, just to see what they say.  They make a great point in this by stating, “If people are willing to riot to save money on a cell phone, what would they be willing to do to feed their families?  Are the Black Friday riots a very small preview of the civil unrest that is coming when society eventually breaks down?”  Then, a little later, they write, “In the end, it is not that big of a deal that people want to fight with one another to save 50 dollars on a cell phone.  But this kind of extreme selfishness and desperation could become a massive problem someday if society breaks down and suddenly millions of extremely selfish and desperate people are scrambling for survival.”

Do people realize the state of the country?  Does the general public have any idea how bad off we are and how close we are to an economic collapse?  To make things worse, I saw this story on Breitbart about Occupy Wall Street’s plan, heavily pushed by Frances Fox Piven.  The entire goal of OWS is to bring down the American financial system and, now, they’re saying they can do this by complete lawlessness.  Some of it will be blatant, I’m sure, but some of it is fraudulent and is basic lying about everything – especially when it comes to bills.  In fact, they now have their own manual that tells them how to deal with debt matters in their own life . . . fraudulently.  That manual is referenced and linked in Breitbart’s story.  However, if you want to read it without going to another page, you can download it here.

The-Debt-Resistors-Operations-Manual

If you’ve been an Unapologetically Right reader for a while, you know, a while back, I said that OWS is not done and they will be back.  So, let’s say they succeed.  Or, shoot, even if they fail again, what if something else triggers our economy to collapse.  What then?  As the Economic Collapse Blog questions, if people get so stupid, irresponsible, and desperate to save a couple of bucks on crap that has no meaning, how much more lawless and crazy will things get if they need to feed themselves and their family?  Something to think about – not only in regard to crazy people, but yourself.  Are you prepared for the unfortunate?  Are you able to be self sufficient enough that if the government offers help, will you be able to wave them off and not be enslaved to them?

More importantly, as the title of this entry states, who are we becoming?  Have we moved so far off the tracks that we have no idea what’s important any more?  This seems to really be an upside world, now.  That is no longer a cliche, but it seems to be reality!  Where have our values gone?  Where has our general respect gone?  Where has our acknowledgment of and love for God gone?  Where has our patriotism gone?  Who are we?

I don’t know about you, but I know where my heart is and it is nowhere near where this movement or this administration is going.  We can only fix society by fixing ourselves, then, hopefully, influence others.  However, as I have stated a million times before, no change will ever happen apart from God.  We have to get back to our foundation, America!  This is a good time of the year to be reflecting and seeing what needs to change in our own lives.  Let’s do it and stand strong.

The Real Occupy – A Rap Sheet of Occupiers as of Last December

I was just given a link by a fellow blogger, “consideragain,” that shows how incredibly fantastic the occupy movement is (sarcasm).  The link is a rap sheet that, as of December 9, 2011, has 417 items on it.  You have to figure as widespread as the movement is, there are probably plenty more offenses not recorded.  Also, consider that it is, now, May 2012 and we’ve already heard of bomb plots, vandalism, and other socially unacceptable acts.  Is this the kind of group we want to follow and model ourselves after?  I would hope not.  God knows I don’t.  I want to send them all on their hippie way to a communist country and let them be as happy as they can be in that mecca of poverty and crappiness.  I’ll keep the American way of life, thank you.

Here are the top 10 from the article:

  1. NY: 10/1/2011 — Police Arrest More Than 700 Protesters on Brooklyn Bridge
  2. Madison, WI: 10-27-2011 — Madison Occupiers Lose Permit Due to Public Masturbation
  3. Phoenix: 10/28/2011 — Flier at Occupy Phoenix Asks, “When Should You Shoot a Cop?”
  4. NY: 10/18/2011 — Thieves Preying on Fellow Protesters
  5. NY: 10/9/2011 — Stinking up Wall Street: Protesters Accused of Living in Filth as Shocking Pictures Show One Demonstrator Defecating on a POLICE CAR
  6. NY: 10/7/2011 — Occupiers Rush PoliceMore
  7. Cleveland: 10/18/2011 — ‘Occupy Cleveland’ Protester Alleges She Was Raped
  8. NY: 10/10/2011 — ‘Increasingly Debauched’: Are Sex, Drugs & Poor Sanitation Eclipsing Occupy Wall Street?
  9. Seattle: 10/18/2011 — Man Accused of Exposing Self to Children Arrested
  10. 10/12/2011 — Iran Supports ‘Occupy Wall Street’

If you’d like to read more, I’d recommend it.  This is a great eye-opener.  You can read it here.

In case you didn’t see they’re announcement last night, I posted on it.  The Occupy Midsummer extravaganza looks . . . . well, it looks like a socialist, hippie event.  Check that post out while you’re here!

And a HUGE thank you to Consideragain for the link!!

Occupy Has Some Big Summer Plans . . . Oh Boy!

Our Occupy hippie friends are already planning a big global hippie “holiday”  called Occupy Midsummer!  That sounds great, doesn’t it?  It’s coming up on June 20th.  This is bound to be a great time where they can all come together and “eat, drink, sing, and dance.”   And, hey kids, they won’t be dancing just anywhere!  They’ll be dancing on “the future grave of austerity.”  That sounds real positive and American, doesn’t it?

But wait . . . . there’s more . . .

They’re demanding a “universal living wage!!!”  What is that?  I’m glad you asked.  Here’s what they say:

“According to wikipedia, a living wage is ¨the minimum hourly income necessary for a worker to meet basic needs¨ such as ¨housing, food, utilities, transport, health care, and recreation.¨ We aren’t calling for a dollar amount; living wages should be tied to cost of living and account for inflation. In other words, we envision a world where everyone has whatever it costs to provide for everything a given person or community needs.

By universal, we mean that everyone, everywhere deserves the right to live without poverty and the entire 99% across the world must stand in solidarity to fight for our commons. The struggle must include us all, regardless of occupation or immigration status, and must be waged at every level: from individual employers to cities, states, nations, and beyond. We live in a globalized world ruled by transnational corporations. We must have a transnational demand: A living wage for every person on the planet.”

That sounds pretty sweet, right?  Who wouldn’t want that?  But, wait . . . . where does the money come from?  Every country is broke right now it seems.  How will they pay for equal salaries for “every person on the planet”, especially when most of them don’t have jobs, apparently.  Who decides what “everything a given person or community needs”?  Let’s say every person needs shoes.  Is everybody in need of $150 shoes, or does everybody get $10 shoes . . . or will there be inequalities in the quality of some of each person’s “needs?”  How will they decide all of these things for the whole planet without putting all Americans in ridiculous poverty?

I’m guessing our genius hippie friends haven’t thought it all through, but they’re certainly on a great path . . . right?

Hey, check out their poster.  I have an honest question about it below.  Seriously, if anyone has any ideas, please comment and let me know ’cause I have a hunch, but I’ll admit cluelessness.  Here’s the poster:

So, the angelic looking person there . . . I’m sure they just picked a random, peaceful looking cosmic being, eh?  However, my gut has me wondering if this is tied to any kind of old Greek “god” or something like that . . . perhaps one that personifies the debased nature of the occupiers?  Again, I don’t know . . . just a hunch I’m curious to research.  If any of you know of any type of thing it could be related to, please let me know!  Otherwise, I’ll see if I can find something and will update this if I learn anything.  Thank you in advance for anything you can tell me . . . or perhaps my hunch is wrong . . . we’ll see.

Also from their site:  “What better way to celebrate the passing away of the old regime of death and disorder than by joining together in festival to demand the living wage?”

Hmmmmmm.  When, where, how, and by whom has death and disorder happened under a capitalist system as opposed to a socialist system?  Socialist systems ALWAYS – I repeat ALWAYS – end in death, disorder, poverty, food rations, etc., etc.  Not a path I want to go down.  How about you?

They’re doing they’re best to destroy our way of life in the false name of equality.  It will never work.   Be aware.  The only thing to get us out of the mess we’re in is not scrapping American principles, it’s RETURNING to them.

God Bless the USA  (but can we send all the commies away to a commie country?)

May Day Just the Beginning

As we all probably know, “May Day” was just the beginning for all the socialist hippies that call themselves occupiers. Check out what’s next:

You can read more about the details on the Occupy Wall Street website.

Stay alert, everyone! Don’t let them take our freedom in the name of freedom of speech, equality, or any other thing they want to pervert!

Occupy Dopiness

In looking at the Occupy Wall Street website, I found some things that need to be researched a bit before I write anything about them.  However, since the “research” will take a little more time, I did want to go ahead and post a video.  I’ll warn you that it is long and, really, should be over . . . . well, it really should never exist.  However, the main part of this video is over about halfway through it, about 18  minutes.  Things to notice:

  • I know I heard some of the occupiers tell the cops (last year) that they were on the cops’ side – that they were fighting for the cops pensions, etc.  Sure.  I never believed that because there was just as much anti-cop whining.  Notice one of the guys going on and on about police brutality.  I’m sorry, but I can’t believe that cops are just randomly slamming people heads into the concrete, breaking people’s feet, shooting people, beating them with batons, etc.  Maybe these things happen, but what has the occupier done to provoke such measures?
  • They claim the NYPD is now “targeting medics”.  Really?  NYPD is targeting more of their fellow public servants?  I’m having a very hard time taking this seriously.
  • Then, you can hear one gratuitous “F**k the cops!”
  • They claim they barricaded cops inside zuccotti park, with cardboard boxes, and this was “protecting the city of New York from the cops”  I never realized that cardboard was an officer’s kryptonite, but the occupy hippies claim to have beaten them and saved the city from their brutality.

And, of course, the most obvious thing also shows what complete dopes these people are, as if it wasn’t already obvious – why, oh why, does the mindless herd repeat every dang phrase that every “speaker” says.  I cannot, for the life of me, comprehend this.  And when the interaction goes like this, I’m completely astounded at the sheer idiocy of this:

speaker:  Hello.

crowd:  Hello.

speaker:  I’m Josh

crowd:  I’m Josh

Really??!!

As I mentioned, there are some things that I want to look into some more, then bring them to your attention, but in the meantime, please enjoy some of the OWS’ finest right here.  (it’s the video just under the pic of the 16 year old enduring “police brutality”)

Frances Fox Piven Predicts “Action” from OWS this Spring

The Blaze.com posted this story, early this morning, regarding Frances Fox Piven (known for the Cloward-Piven concept of collapsing the system by overloading it).  She is, obviously, in favor of the protests we’ve seen over the past year.  She’s claiming there will be more that will “see action” that “threatens to shut down institutions.”

See what you think, listen to the audio and be aware!

The Most Relevant Book of Our Time, Part 3

Here’s is the third, and final (for now), installment of Bible talk.  I hope all of these have made sense and you’ve enjoyed them.  I trust that you see, at least, some of the parallels that I see.  This will probably be a periodic venture, so it’s not really over.
There isn’t too much set up for today’s passage.  I’m, actually, using 2 passages:  a longer one and a really short one.  They’re similar, so I figured it would make sense.  The only thing I’ll say about this first one is that I was reading through the book of James not too long ago and got to chapter 3. At that point, things just jumped off the page and I saw the situation the world is in, as well as the Occupy movement tearing us down in America.  This is not just about them, though.  We’ve already covered how far away we are from God and our founding principles.  Our society has been crumbling because of that.  I read this passage with those things in my mind and thought it related 100% to our society.  Nothing else is needed; it can speak for itself.  What do you think?  Here is James 3:13-4:17:

Who among you is wise and understanding?  Let him show by his good behavior his deeds in the gentleness of wisdom.  But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, do not be arrogant and so lie against the truth.  This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, natural, demonic.  For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder and every evil thing.  But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without hypocrisy.  And the seed whose fruit is righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

What is the source of quarrels and conflicts among you?  Is not the source your pleasures that wage war in your members?  You lust and do not have; so you commit murder.  You are envious and cannot obtain; so you fight and quarrel.  You do not have because you do not ask.  You ask and do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your pleasures.  You adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God?  Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.  Or do you think that the Scripture speaks to no purpose:  He jealously desires the Spirit which He has made to dwell in us”?  But He gives a greater grace.  Therefore it says, God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”  Submit therefore to God.  Resist the devil and he will flee from you.  Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.  Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.  Be miserable and mourn and weep; let your laughter be turned into mourning and your joy to gloom.  Humble yourselves in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you.

Do not speak against one another, brethren.  He who speaks against a brother or judges his brother speaks against the law and judges the law; but if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge of it.  There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the One who is able to save and to destroy; but who are you who judge your neighbor?

Come now, you who say, ‘Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, and spend a year there and engage in business and make a profit.’ Yet you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow.  You are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away.  Instead, you ought to say, ‘If the Lord wills, we will live and also do this or that.’  But as it is, you boast in your arrogance; all such boasting is evil.  Therefore, to one who knows the right thing to do and does not do it, to him it is sin.

Next up is a contrast in fruits of the flesh vs. fruits of the spirit.  It speaks for itself.  Here’s Galatians 5:19-23:

Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are:  immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions, envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.  But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.

Which one seems to match up with this current regime in America . . . or the left, in general?  I can tell you that I don’t see much love, joy, kindness, goodness, surely no self-control,  . . . well, ok, I don’t see any of the good ones in these people.  I would hope they exist somewhere, but I don’t see it right now.  If I’m wrong, please help me.  Which characteristics would foster more growth, freedom, and peace?  Which one resembles the principles our founders used?
I’ll admit that there are 2 very special phrases, for me.  First off, James 4:17 reads “Therefore, to one who knows the right thing to do and does not do it, to him it is sin.”  This is the idea that got me to start “Unapologetically Right.”  It is why I will call a spade a spade and communicate as directly as I know how about right and wrong.  I know right and wrong exist and I know that America is being steered in the completely wrong direction.  I am only doing what I can to get truth out.  Do you believe in truth, right and wrong, freedom and the principles America was founded upon?  If so, are you doing anything to stand for such principles and promote truth?  Everybody has a voice and I’ve reached a point where I believe that being neutral and passive doesn’t cut it.  Indifference and apathy has helped get us where we are today.
Next, at the end of Galatians 5:23, we see, after the list of virtues,  “ . . . against such things there is no law.”
Wait, wait . . . that sounds like a formula for FREEDOM!  Could that be true?  If we live according to Biblical principles and allow the “fruits of the Spirit” to grow in our hearts, minds, and attitudes, we’re bound by shackles of slavery?  No!!  It clearly states, “against such things there is no law.”  So, the more virtuous and moral we are; the more we live according to natural law (God’s law), the less laws and government we need and, thus more freedom!  How is that, again?  Because a virtuous people allows for more discernment, self control, and personal responsibility.  If those exist, we will have no need for human/government enforced restraint.  So, how can we be virtuous?  It’s impossible without a standard on which to build.  That’s where the Biblical principles come in.  The founders knew what they were doing.  They had excellent foresight to see far into the future and they knew how corrupt humanity is.  They built this country on the only timeless, proven principles to ever work . . . Christian, Bible-based principles.  To reference more thoughts on this and read some great quotes from the founders and past presidents/leaders, remember  a past entry entitled, “It’s Right or Wrong, Not Right or Left.”
Freedom will only return in full force when we return, in full force, to God and recover the foundation which made America the most thriving country the world has known . . . that is until the “progressives” made us regress into sorry-ness.

Footage from the left to kill capitalism

Thanks to the work of Breitbart.com, we have actual video from a strategy meeting with Stephen Lehrner, of SEIU, OWS reps, and other far lefties.  It was done at New York University during a talk called “The Abolition of Capitalism.”  Not much else to say about it.  They reveal themselves out in the open, now.

Be aware.  Pay attention.  Prepare.  Stand for truth.

One of OWS’ Finest

I can’t recall a time when I thought the OWS protesters were brilliant.  As I’ve stated, many of them probably believe they’re standing up for a good thing, they’re just grotesquely misguided.  However, for all you hippies and protesters, no matter what town you’re in, you might want to consider better spokespeople. I have to share this with you.

I offer you one of the occupiers’ finest, folks . . .

They’re coming back . . . do you know who the “99%” are?

Remember last year when the Arab Spring broke out?  A lot of people in the mainstream media heralded it as a great thing and viewed it as an inspiring move of the youth towards democracy.  Some of us conservatives were a bit more hesitant and cynical on such a grand declaration.  I know that I didn’t think it was good because a) democracy is not a great thing (America is not a democracy, we are a democratic republic – kinda weird, I know, but true).  Democracy basically means mob rules.  That’s not good.  Then, b) the movement of the Muslim Brotherhood to take over more area was concerning due to their radical elements and desire for a global Muslim caliphate.  While all of these things were happening, I began hearing things about this being what was needed in America.  Then, as you know, we kinda got a small taste, nothing to the scale of what was going on across the ocean, though.  Our version of “revolution” came in the form of the Occupy Wall Street people.  It seems that they fizzled out when winter hit, right?  No.  I’d say they’re just regrouping and this spring and summer should be really interesting, to say the least.

Have you seen this gem of a website for the 99% spring?  This is great!  The 99% whiners are getting their own week of training to learn how to “peaceably” protest and continue their junk this year.  The training is coming up in April!  If you paid any attention to news stories last year, you know they were anything but peaceful.  They were disruptive, violent, and deviant.  Remember the guy crapping on the cop car?  Then there were reports of people going into a church and crapping on the altar (this was in Europe, but they’re all standing in “solidarity” I guess).  There were many reports of violence and rapes.  There was sex out in the open, on the streets.  A completely irresponsible and depraved mindset in round 1.  So, round 2 should be peaceable?  You can figure it out.

My point here is not to remember all of last year, or necessarily look ahead to this year, but to look at who is involved.  Who are they?  What do they stand for?  As always, we have to ask, are these people for American values, or for something entirely different?  If they are successful in changing our very way of life, will that be better for our economy or worse?  Will we have more or less freedom?  To get an idea, let’s look at who’s involved, shall we?

On the 99% Spring website, there is a letter on their “Who We Are” page.  On the right column, we can see the signers of the letter.  I don’t know much about most of the organizations on here, but I’m sure they’re in full support of America and capitalism! (sarcasm)  I mean, with a name like Pushback Network, or Progressive Democrats of America, or Grassroots Global Justice Alliance . . . they’ve got to be great, right?  I don’t have the time to look into all of the groups right now, since there are 45 of them that signed and support this thing.  However, I’ll mention a few that I do know.  We have some of the usual far left leaning, progressive (in other words, socialist) groups such as Greenpeace, United Auto Workers, SEIU, etc.  Also involved is MoveOn.org.  They’re a well known progressive outfit that received millions of dollars from George Soros (the guy who collapsed the Euro in 1992 and wants to do the same thing to the dollar because we’re the biggest obstacle in the way of global government).  That’s not the only involvement of George Soros in this little 99% thing.  I spot at least 2 more organizations (The Ruckus Society and the Rainforest Action Network) who have received money from the Tides Foundation, which is another one of Soros’ organizations!  While looking at some of this, I ran across a pretty great website that you may want to look at to learn some associations and backgrounds regarding Soros.  It’s called Discover the Networks and seems full of good info.  That’s not all!

A big hitter involved in this is Van Jones and his ever so twisted “Rebuild the Dream” organization.  Van Jones, as you may know used to be in Obama’s cabinet, but left after much scrutiny due to his Communist beliefs.  He was an avowed Communist and set out to lead revolution.  Now, if you look at his current website, he says that he is NOT a Communist.  That’s just a lie from the right wingers.  However, in a well researched 2009 report from Trevor Loudon of the New Zeal blog, Mr. Loudon documents some of Van Jones’ words.  Currently, after having to leave the White House because of his commie beliefs, he claims he’s not one.  Previously, however, his own words stated:

I met all these young radical people of color – I mean really radical communists and anarchists.  And it was, like, ‘This is what I need to be a part of’ . . . I spent the next ten years of my life working with a lot of those people I met in jail, trying to be a revolutionary . . . I was a rowdy nationalist on April 28th, and then the verdicts came down on April 29 . . . by August, I was a communist.”

Those words were in 2005, after he had been in jail, obviously.  If you’d like to read Mr. Louden’s full report, you can do so here.  It’s thorough and I’d recommend it.  Just for fun, here’s a video exposing more of Van Jones’ own words from 2009 (the way the video was done is annoying, but the point is Jones’ words).

Look at Van Jones’ current associations and ideas and it’s all the same.  He might be trying to mask it a little more, but he’s the same ol’ Van Jones and he’s one of the big players in thie 99% movement.  So, the media would have us believe that the whole movement is grassroots.  Yet, we have Van Jones and like minded people helping target, organize, and train.  We have George Soros’ organizations pumping money into it.  It seems pretty obvious that there is something far more insidious underneath.  The people that are going out and protesting may not realize it and they may believe they are doing something good that they believe it.  Then again, maybe they all do hate capitalism and the American way of life.  Time will tell, I guess, but freedom loving Americans need to be aware, awake, and willing to stand up!

Just thought I’d share the info and make everyone aware of what’s coming this spring/summer.
