Back in the Saddle . . . Here we go!

It has been a long time since I have posted anything and please accept my apologies for the drought. There certainly has not been a drought of material to discuss! However, as I had mentioned a while back, it became much easier to talk about things on the podcast rather than sit at a computer, writing, after sitting at a computer at work all day. Bottom line is, I just need to find my groove and timing, again.
As I restart my blogging, it seems only natural to briefly ponder what we have witnessed in our world the last 4 months. I know the last things I posted were regarding the complete idiocy and lies of “gun control” after the Newtown tragedy. Unfortunately, this administration can never let a crisis go to waste, so, four months later, we still see them parade the grieving families around to push their socialist agenda of gun control. I have never heard so many absurd, mindless, and baseless cries to do away with the 2nd amendment as I have the last few months. Of course, those cries are always without logic and fact, but they have become even more of a nuisance with more and more of Hollywood standing up and talking out of their back ends (see Jim Carrey and Jay Mohr for starters). Just for fun, Thomas Sowell recently wrote a piece on Townhall.com that made the point of gun control being completely devoid of facts. Read Sowell’s thoughts and do your own research. You can easily see there is not a case for “gun control” other than feeling good about yourself, like you’ve “done something.” In this case, we don’t need to “do something” to pat ourselves on the back and feel good. By politicians “doing something,” my right to defend myself is in jeopardy; therefore, my life is in jeopardy because the politicians choose to act more mindless than a single cell organism. So, this is a situation where we don’t need to force something stupid, but simply understand that evil exists and always will. What we can do is educate ourselves, be prepared to defend ourselves, and deal with the heart issues in which evil resides. If our society was still a God-fearing, moral society, this degeneracy would not be where it is today. I am confident of that. This is simply not a legislative issue and we all know it has nothing to do with crime or guns anyway. It’s all about control.
How’s the economy been lately? Well, the administration would tell us that everything is improving and we’re recovering! However, allow me to offer my standard call of “bullcrap.” You see, while they try to make the blind sheep believe that all is well, we have record numbers of people on food stamps. That’s not the sign of an improving economy, is it? “But wait,” say the liberals, “unemployment went down to 7.6%!” Yes, but not because there are more jobs. That particular number went down because the size of the work force shrunk. We have a record number of people out of the work force . . . over 90 million people! In fact, this is so crappy and we have moved so far “forward” at such a high pace under the Obama regime that, I guess, we’re lapping our own alleged progress. Those figures put us back to 1979 levels! You know, kinda like when everything sucked under Carter? Man, moving “forward” is great, isn’t it? Well, . . . for communists who believe in fake utopias, I guess.
Another crazy thing about our economy recently has seen our Dow at record highs. Yet, we have record numbers of people on food stamps and out of work? Oh, wait, that’s right . . . it’s not really based on anything except the Fed pumping $85 billion per month into the system to falsely prop it up. (Here’s another link on this from Fox Business.) This will come crashing down, folks. This is not sustainable at all.
Besides these big things, we’ve also seen evangelical Christians at the top of a list of groups for our military/government to watch. Similarly, a Powers County, Colorado undersheriff reported that a DHS training seminar taught officers to watch Bible believing Christians carefully. Why would they be considered a threat to the government? Because they believe in America’s Judeo-Christian heritage. They believe in the Bible and take it literally. They disagree with the current direction of the country. Because of these stances of good, Bible believing Christians, this government, apparently, lumps them in with what they call the “sovereign citizen movement.” To my understanding, that is a weird movement of folks who believe they are completely “sovereign,” independent of any government, therefore, are not bound to that government’s laws, taxes, etc. That is nothing like evangelical Christianity.
Of course, just this week, America has been attacked again by some low-life(s) at the Boston marathon and my prayers are with those who lost loved ones and who are injured. I know this kind of thing can always happen because, as previously stated, evil exists. However, can we really say that this administration has made us any safer, or given us better standing in the world? The answer is obvious.
I could go on and on about what’s currently happening (and I will in future posts), but suffice it to say that plenty has transpired since I last posted. Unfortunately, very little of it is good. This country is not necessarily the “shining city on a hill” anymore. We have forsaken our morals, God, and our founding principles. What we endure, now, is simply the consequences of such irresponsibility and defiance toward God. Can we make it better and right this thing? Sure, but it will be a long, hard process. It will take perseverance and resolve like never before. It will require us to encourage each other and stand with each other and shine the light on evil . . . and standing up to evil. We’ve talked about it before and it is clear: we MUST return to God and our founding principles.
I leave you with a moment in our history that probably would never happen today. In David Brog’s book In Defense of Faith, he discusses some of the civil rights movement. He tells of that day in August 1963, when Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. gave his “I Have a Dream” speech at the Lincoln Memorial. The point is not so much the speech itself as it is in the newspaper reaction the following day. While all the papers praised King and built up what a tremendous and eloquent speech he delivered, one veteran journalist tapped the brakes and spoke a nugget of truth. Writing for the New York Times, James Reston stated that “the first significant test of the Negro march on Washington will come in the churches and synagogues of the country this weekend” (pg. 211). Reston believed one of the major marks of the march was to “demonstrate support for President Kennedy’s landmark civil rights legislation” (pg. 212). However, he also knew that any political success went far beyond politics. Reston went on to say:
It is no good waiting for a political reaction in Congress, for if there is no effective moral reaction out in the country, there will be no effective political reaction here.
This whole movement for equality in American life will have to return to first principles before it will “overcome” anything. And as moral principles preceded and inspired political principles in this country, as the church preceded the Congress, so there will have to be a moral revulsion to the humiliation of the Negro before there can be significant political relief. – from “The First Significant Test of the Freedom March,” New York Times, August 29, 1963
The point? A nation’s politics and leadership is a direct reflection of the moral aptitude of its people. We cannot expect political change for the good until we fix the heart of the country. Only when we become moral, as individuals, will we elect moral leaders and see fruitful results. Returning to the standard of our founding principles and God is our only option of saving this great nation.

Finally, after 3 days of trying to get Crowdtilt to communicate with Facebook, a simple suggestion from one Crowdtilt’s customer service folks did the trick. (Thank you, again, Angela.) Now that things have been linked up, I can announce to you that the Unapologetically Right fundraiser has begun and will run through Wednesday, December 19th at 6 pm. As I have mentioned before, if you believe in what Unapologetically Right stands for and if you enjoy the podcast (or at least believe it has a place out there), please help bring the podcast back. As I mentioned in the previous post, I simply do not have the means of doing it on my own these days. If we come together, it can be done! Please give what you can, there is no minimum.
My minimum goal is $2,000 and specifics are laid out in the previous post. If we can raise more than that, then all the better! That just helps things that much more! Please know, if you do give, your card will NOT be charged until the minimum goal is reached. So, if the end of the campaign arrives and we have not reached $2,000, no one’s card will be charged anything . .. nothing lost, so there is no risk if things don’t pan out. As long as we pass it and as soon as I get the equipment, I will post copies of all receipts so you will know where every penny is spent. Also, please know that U.R. is not set up as a “real” organization of any kind, so any contributions are not tax deductible, unfortunately.
I hope this to be the only fundraiser we do, so please spread the word! After you give, share this post, share links, whatever you can do! The more people that help, the sooner we can get this rolling again, and the less it will take from each person!

Podcast Direction and Need

Today, I’d like to share with you a bit of where I am, my vision for Unapologetically Right and my hope of re-starting the podcast as soon as possible. As I mentioned yesterday, this is certainly not the time to lie down. I do believe that America is in a horrible position and that, though it will be monumentally excruciating to pull us back to our principles, we must work to that end. We must roll up our sleeves, stand together, and keep pushing ahead. This is about diligence and perseverance. We must not allow freedom to die on our watch! Too many people have sacrificed their lives for freedom and we cannot stand idly by, so I hope you will stand with me!
Enough of the pep rally.
Have you seen any shows or movies that depict someone with amnesia, or some form of memory loss? I don’t know how this works in real life, but in the movies we usually see someone from that person’s life remind them of familiar things and places. They try to do things that may trigger a memory so the one with the memory loss will remember. Remembering is the key. The belief seems to be, if the person remembers who he/she is (and what his/her life was), they can be restored. I think that can be true of America, too! If we remember who we are and where we’ve come from, we can be restored! It is a long, hard road, but it can be done! Yes, we need spiritual revival, but we must remember who we are, as well. We must know our founding fathers, our founding documents, our history . . . as it was, not as it has been revised.
My hope in starting Unapologetically Right last February was to educate people on the lies and lawlessness in our government, along with educating on what the Constitution says. I, also, included our history and the Bible. That quickly grew into the weekly podcast, as many of you heard until last week. I had an unexpected change when Dan decided to leave U.R. (For those interested, I spoke with Dan a couple of nights ago and all is well. He will not be working with U.R., as stated, but our friendship is all good and he will be helping me get it rolling on my own when that time comes.) I know that some of you have already expressed how much you miss the show, and I can’t tell you how much I appreciate that! Thank you! I, also, miss doing it! I know that many people find it easier, and probably more entertaining, to listen to something rather than read. That being said, here’s where I am . . .
Once I am able, I plan on resuming the podcasts. I believe that the podcasts have a vital role in the U.R. efforts. Like the comments about the amnesia patient above, I believe that America needs to be reminded of who she is. I want to remind us of our history, of who we were, what we came from, what we endured, and what shaped us to be the best country on the planet. You can bet that I’ll continue to point out the complete idiocy that is the out of control government, but I want to put a special focus on remembering who and what America is and why. Until we have a clear picture of who we once were, we will never realize how far we’ve strayed and, therefore, will not have a path back to sanity. We must remember! Along with that, as I mentioned yesterday, I do not believe any good change will come to this country without a change in our heart and spirit. It cannot happen without a spiritual revival. So, I may end up putting a little more focus on Biblical principles, as well. I hope it will be encouraging and informative to the point that you will want to share it with others.
As I have mentioned, I do not have the necessary equipment to do the show right now, nor do I have the means of buying the equipment. The reason I bring that up is to say that I would love to be doing the show now. I know some of you want to be hearing the show right now. I believe the show needs to be available to any who may stumble across it, as well. However, just as I approached Dan several months ago and told him my vision, I explained to him that I have the desire and vision, but cannot do it on my own. I was unable to make it happen without help at that time. That remains true today. I really want this to happen, but cannot do it without some help. So, I come to you.
With Dan’s help, I will be compiling a list of what I need to do the show and keep the quality we are all used to. I will price some options in an attempt to be as cost effective as possible, but as good and dependable as possible. Then, I will let you all know what will be required. That is where I am asking you to stand with me, if you believe in what I have been doing and plan on doing. If you want it to continue and have the means to give, I would ask that you consider helping get the show up and running as soon as possible. If this is done on my own, it will be months before I could even think of doing it. With adequate help, however, it would only be a matter of getting what is needed and learning how to use it effectively. I’ll post specifics later. Don’t worry, this is the only time I will do something like this! For now, please pray and consider if you’d be able and willing to help. Then, when I post the specifics, you’ll know and we can all move ahead together, as a team that just wants our country back!

Vote Responsibly

If you have already participated in early voting, I can only hope that you have paid attention and voted for American values. If you have not, may I just remind you of a couple of things for consideration? I am, by no means, going to waste a lot of time going through the past 4 years that have built their own case against Obama and his anti-American sentiment, but I will simply refer you to more recent things. As I lay these out, ask yourself the following:
Does it matter?
Is America’s economy better than 4 years ago?
Is America safer than 4 years ago?
Does America deserve better?
With that in mind, consider these recent stories. First off, the attack on the U.S. Embassy in Benghazi, Libya. We’ve covered it in our podcast and in a couple of past blog posts. Within a matter of hours, the world knew this was a terrorist attack on our embassy and people. The Obama administration blatantly lied about it, for weeks, blaming it all on a crappy video. Instead of going after the terrorists that did it, they chose to create a diversion and go after an American citizen and fuel an attack on our 1st amendment right of free speech. As details of the Benghazi atrocity continue to come out, we know now, without surprise, that the White House knew full well what was going on. It’s even likely that they watched it live, in the situation room, via a drone’s camera. Yet, they chose to do nothing about it, blamed an American, and continuously lied to the American public. Forget that this administration has pretty much lied about everything the entire time they have worked at fundamentally transforming America (remember what they said was or was not in the healthcare bill, how it was rammed down our throats, how no one got to read it before it was forced on us, Fast & Furious and the cover up/Obama’s executive privilege to protect his anti-American buddy Eric Holder from prosecution, etc., etc.) I could spend all day remembering more and more lies and cover ups – some equally large, some smaller – but you get the idea. This administration is made up of pathological liars and they will do and say anything in order to stay in power to finish “fundamentally transforming” America.
So, lie after lie after lie. Cover up after cover up.
Does it matter? Does it matter that this country is more divided than ever in every possible way (race, politics, faith/religion, gender, economic status)? Does it matter that this dictator-wanna-be has no problem looking Americans in the eye and feeding them blatant lies in absolute arrogance?
Beyond the lying aspect, does it matter that the world’s communist dictators want Obama’s re-election? This should be an obvious sign of which side Obama and his cronies are on, but I don’t hear many people talking about this! Obama has been endorsed by Russia’s Putin, Venezuelan’s Chavez, and Cuba’s Castro.
America, does it matter to you? It sure as heck does to me which is why Unapologetically Right exists. It DOES matter . . . and SHOULD matter to you. We cannot continue on the path we are on and expect the debt to disappear or expect our freedoms to continue. We are at the point that it is the people’s duty to throw this government off . . . abolish what is, shrink it and return to the Constitution and the Biblical principles on which it was founded.
Does America deserve better? Let me answer that this way:
American ideals. Freedom. The fact that we are the world’s last best hope. The liberty of future generations of Americans. All of those things deserve better. However, it is the heart of the citizenry that decides who sits in office. If the American public is so disconnected with what is going on, depraved and refuses to see the truth, as much as I hate to say it, we will get what we deserve. I would like to think that we do deserve better, but if Bible-believing, Constitutional-supporting Americans fail to pray, shine the Light and turn the tide by doing what we can, we will get what we deserve. If all others who call themselves Americans but live like socialist Europeans and irresponsible freeloaders continue on, they will get what they deserve. We all will. Take a stand and vote the closest to the Bible and the Constitution. To all of you Ron Paul supporters, that means giving it up for a bit and being a team player. Please do not waste your vote on someone who doesn’t have a chance. I know you all say “vote your conscience.” Fine. Can your libertarian conscience live with the fact that you help usher in the demise of America and freedom, should Obama win due to a split GOP vote? We must all suck it up and do what is necessary to save this country . . . for everybody.
The ideal of freedom deserves better. Will we take the appropriate steps to begin our long journey back? Or is this the end of America as we know it? You decide, America. This election will decide that. I’ve made my decision and I know where I stand. We must stand for and protect that which we hold dear. I love my freedom and intend to protect it and fight for it. Who’s with me?
Chick Fil A vs. Stupidity

I don’t know about you, but I love a good chicken sandwich. Chick Fil A mastered the basic chicken sandwich years ago. I’m convinced that the pickle on the bottom is key. While I could probably live off of their sandwiches, salads, nuggets, and waffle fries, my purpose here is not give a review on their food, but discuss what has been a very interesting past few days. I’ve reached the point where I am, simply, going to rant in this one. As I’m sure you know by now, Chick Fil A has been under an insane amount of attacks, hate, and nonsensical “boycotts.” Why? Because they stated that they support the family.
That’s crazy, right? Perhaps you would tell me that I’m wrong and they are getting what they deserve because they hate gays. If you were to think or say that, you would be wrong. They are getting a bunch of crap from the left, liberal gays because they simply support family. I have been fairly entertained seeing the countless number of absolutely brainless, spineless, cowardly, hateful, and misguided comments on Chick Fil A’s Facebook page recently. I, for one, commented to them in support and I have encouraged others while pointing out the blatant hypocrisy of the loud and obnoxious liberals. I have not been mean, but have pointed out the obvious and have asked for help in understanding what all they are griping about. Not one has responded. The reason why they have not responded to me is because they have no answer or reasoning behind their blind vitriol. They are shrouded in complete hypocrisy, self centeredness, hate, and overwhelming ignorance . . . a lot of the same stuff they try to pin on conservatives. However, it actually is true of them.
In my perusing, one fine example is from a real “tough” guy who responded to a young mom who simply supported Chick Fil A and claimed they were taking their family there for dinner on that particular night. This coward said, to that mother, that he felt sorry for her family that she was so “pathetic” that she would feed her kids hate. So, for a mom liking Chick Fil A’s food, moral beliefs and for taking her family there, that necessitates a personal, hateful attack from an “oh-so-loving, tolerant, peaceful” liberal? The hate is coming from one side . . . period.
So, we’ve come this far without really talking about what sparked all of this. Let’s get to the culprit here. What are the statements that set liberals ablaze to showcase how close-minded and hateful they really are to anyone who disagrees with them? Dan Cathy, head of Chick Fil A stated, when speaking about programs they do for their employees:
“That morphed into a marriage program in conjunction with national marriage ministries,” Cathy added.
Some have opposed the company’s support of the traditional family. “Well, guilty as charged,” said Cathy when asked about the company’s position.
“We are very much supportive of the family — the biblical definition of the family unit. We are a family-owned business, a family-led business, and we are married to our first wives. We give God thanks for that.
“We operate as a family business … our restaurants are typically led by families; some are single. We want to do anything we possibly can to strengthen families. We are very much committed to that,” Cathy emphasized.
“We intend to stay the course,” he said. “We know that it might not be popular with everyone, but thank the Lord, we live in a country where we can share our values and operate on biblical principles.”

All of the left’s hate, whining, moaning, boycotting, etc., etc, is fixated on Chick Fil A hating gay people.
As I have asked on people’s comments on Chick Fil A’s Facebook page, can someone please show me where the hate is and what is it that has your panties in a wad? Where does Chick Fil A spew hate? Where do they mention gay people? Where do they discuss gay marriage? Where does this statement say anything that they are accused of by liberals?
The answer? Nowhere.
The left has nothing except implication and assumption . . . and you know what they say about assuming. (. . .on a side note, is it any wonder that the jacka** is the symbol of the democratic party?)
I digress.
I’m trying not to be hateful myself, I really am, but I am so ticked off by the sheer idiocy of the left’s tactics and nobody calls them on it. We’re all supposed to just take it and roll over. I’m sick of it. First of all, they don’t have anything to stand on. There is nothing in Cathy’s statement that is even close to what these idiots are crying about. The only thing I can give is an implication. If someone supports something, such as the Biblical model for marriage and family, then the implication is they may not support deviant variations of it. That’s fair . . . but Cathy didn’t say anything about that!!
Since when is it wrong and unallowable for someone to say they like or support something – or not support something?! Big deal! This is America, right? We have free speech, right?
Apparently not. At least, if you’re not an illogical, immoral, godless liberal. If you fit that category, you can do or say whatever you please, apparently.
The left operates very stupidly. Here’s what I see out of this: ignorant mob mentality.
They incessantly gripe about freedom of speech, but when someone says anything that they disagree with, they want to silence that person or organization from speaking at all.
They complain about hate and proclaim everyone hates them. However, no conservative spews blatant hate like these people do. Conservatives, such as Cathy, state what they believe (such as the Bible) and because that goes against the left, they charge hate speech. Yet, it’s ok for them to be as hateful and condemning as they want toward conservatives they disagree with. As I’ve stated, tolerance and freedom of speech flows one way with them.
They cry about individuality and personal choice, yet they do all they can to eliminate conservative voices and choices. In their search for their individual selves, they become just like every other liberal and begin operating as a mob. The facebook rants are a perfect example. Some idiot along the way said that Chick Fil A hated gays and all of a sudden, without reading Cathy’s actual words, all of the liberals decide to say the same stupid, unfounded condemnations on a great business. They work in a mob mentality to do damage to people and business they disagree with . . . . even though their argument has no foundation.
If you are one of the dopes I’ve been talking about, let’s go this route for a moment: even if Chick Fil A stated that they are 100% against gay marriage (which was never mentioned, remember . . . just hypothetical), does that mean they “hate gay people” or any people for that matter? No. That is a stupid, erroneous conclusion based on nothing factual . . . or even presumptive! This is merely the distinction between a person and a person’s actions. However, liberals can’t comprehend such distinctions, I guess. News flash – it is completely possible to care for someone, like them, love them, or whatever, yet disagree with something they do. Cathy merely stated what they support and idiots ran with some fabricated story about hate and are fueling a big hateful campaign (with actual hate) against Chick Fil A and conservatives in general. Wake up, people! You all claim to be so smart and so much more advanced than conservatives, yet you’re showing indescribable stupidity.
It’s amazing to me. I’ve already given this way too much time and energy, but I wanted to vent it. I’m sick of these dopes wreaking havoc for no reason and nobody calling them out or relating the truth. Like I told that young mother I mentioned earlier, don’t mind them. They’re liberals and that’s all they know.
I’ll end this by stating the obvious, but it must be said. This country is in the peril that it is because of immorality, lack of direction, no solid foundation on which to stand/build, ignoring God, and . . . . well, liberals/progressives. They’ve led the way to get us here. In all fairness, though, conservatives have been quiet for so long, we’ve allowed it to happen.
Wake up people. This is bigger than Chick Fil A. We must stand on principle. We must guard and protect freedom. We must pray for ourselves and our country. We must “stand in the gap” and pray for the Lord to draw us back to Himself and save this country – the last best hope. We are done if we don’t. Whatever you choose, I choose to fight for freedom and to quit letting these idiots take control of everything.
Thankfully, it seems that conservatives and Christians are standing with Chick Fil A and business is booming. Let’s keep it going and stand together to mend this great nation of ours’!
Stand up for truth. Stand for what’s right, and by all means, go to Chick Fil A!

America’s Problem is Not in Politics

The title is slightly misleading . . . allow me to vent briefly. America’s problem . . . liberty’s problem . . . many of our problems are found in politics and a complete lack of competent, honorable leadership. Our political posers have proven to be as despicable as they are mindless; as pathetic excuses for leadership as they are disgraceful to the offices they hold. There are a handful of good ones – very few, but they are there. There are some that are complete idiots and buffoons. Many, especially in Obama’s regime, are deliberately operating on a proven-to-fail, anti-American way of thinking. They are intentionally dragging the rest of us to societal suicide. To give them at least a smidgeon of credit, however, I think they actually think they are doing the right thing – it can only be considered “right” by them, though, since it is for their own arrogant benefit, but I think they might actually believe in the crap they shovel. Enough of laying into these people. The point of this post is to point out that the issue goes beyond politics. They think they are “enlightened” and are smarter than everyone else and, therefore, can decide things for all of us. The system that started their wrong and, might I add, evil ideology (Marxism) is a secular, humanistic system that is faulty from the beginning. Why is it faulty from the beginning? Because it is not based on anything concrete, true, or absolute (not to mention it’s logically impossible)!
In contrast, however, I’d like to say, as I’ve said in previous posts and on the podcast, if there be any hope for America’s survival – for freedom’s resurgence and survival for future generations – it is absolutely imperative that we return to what has proven to work, rather than drown ourselves in proven failures. This all begins with the Bible. All of the “enlightened” people say some of the dumbest crap I’ve ever heard in my life . . . probably you, too! They don’t seem to have a lick of common sense. They don’t listen worth a darn. They don’t have any respect for values, morals, history, or people. They certainly have zero respect for God and His word. Yet, they claim to be the enlightened elite . . . Romans says that “professing to be wise, they became fools” (for the record that is not necessarily about politicians, but it doesn’t exclude them either – it is about a worldly mindset that our government/society happens to be pushing). Let’s just go through a small sampling of what the Scriptures say about knowledge and wisdom. Most of these are out of Proverbs, and I haven’t even gotten it started. Please study Proverbs on your own because there’s a ton. There are a few others I included because I thought them to be relevant. Read on and please share any thoughts or offer any more relevant Scripture you’d like to share! Keep in mind, as you read, when Proverbs is talking about wisdom (or if it’s “Wisdom” speaking), it is referring to Godly wisdom (in other words, wisdom found in the Bible).
It’s simple folks, our nation MUST return to our Creator and we MUST live according to His word – not Karl Marx, Saul Alinsky, John Dewey, Engels, Darwin, Gramsci, Obama . . . none of those fools! (yep, I said it)
• Proverbs 1:7 – The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
• Prov. 2:3-9 – Yes, if you cry out for discernment, and lift up your voice for understanding, if you seek her as silver, and search for her as for hidden treasures; then you will understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God. For the Lord gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding; He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk uprightly; He guards the paths of justice, and preserves the way of His saints. Then you will understand righteousness and justice, equity and every good path.
• Prov. 8:12-13 – I, wisdom, dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge and discretion. The fear of the Lord is to hate evil; Pride and arrogance and the evil way and the perverse mouth I hate.
• Prov. 8:32-36 – Now therefore, listen to me, my children for blessed are those who keep my ways. Hear instruction and be wise, and do not disdain it. Blessed is the man who listens to me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors. For whoever finds me finds life, and obtains favor from the Lord; But he who sins against me wrongs his own soul; all those who hate me love death.
• Prov. 9:6 – Forsake foolishness and live, and go in the way of understanding.
• Prov. 9:10-11 – The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. For by me your days will be multiplied, and years of life will be added to you.
• Prov. 10:4-6 – He who has a slack hand becomes poor, but the hand of the diligent makes rich. He who gathers in summer is a wise son; He who sleeps in harvest is a son who causes shame. Blessings are on the head of the righteous, but violence covers the mouth of the wicked.
• Prov. 10:9 – He who walks with integrity walks securely, but he who perverts his ways will become known.
• Prov. 10:12 – Hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all sins.
• Prov. 10:22 – The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow with it.
• Prov. 10:27-29 – The fear of the Lord prolongs days, but the years of the wicked will be shortened. The hope of the righteous will be gladness, but the expectation of the wicked will perish. The way of the Lord is strength for the upright, but destruction will come to the workers of iniquity.
• Prov. 14:9 – Fools mock at sin, but among the upright there is favor.
• Prov. 14:12 – There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.
• Prov. 14:29-30 – He who is slow to wrath has great understanding, but he who is impulsive exalts folly. A sound heart is life to the body, but envy is rottenness to the bones.
• Matthew 7:13-23 – Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it. Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Therefore by their fruits you will know them. Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in the day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’
• 2 Peter 2:18-22 – For when they speak great swelling words of emptiness, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through lewdness, the ones who have actually escaped from those who live in error. While they promise them liberty, they themselves are slaves of corruption; for by whom a person is overcome, by him also he is brought into bondage. For if, after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the latter end is worse for them than the beginning. For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them. But it has happened to them according to the true proverb: A dog returns to his own vomit, and a sow, having washed, to her wallowing in the mire.
• James 4:8 – Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

A Blunt Letter to Ron Paul Supporters

My apologies for a severe lack of posting lately. It’s been a week or two of busy-ness and sleep when possible. I do work full time and lately, I’ve fallen asleep pretty quickly after getting home from work. That makes it hard to keep up with a blog as regularly as I have been! I am back, though, and I have to address Ron Paul supporters in this one.
I recently saw Ron Paul pass through the DFW area and caught part of an interview with him on the local Fox affiliate. In the interview, he was asked if he would run as an independent. He did not say emphatically if he would or would not; however, he made it sound like if the money and “support” was there, that he would. (I’ve looked for a clip of that interview to post and I can’t find it – sorry.) Since seeing that interview on tv, I have noticed a couple of other people posting things on Facebook about writing in Ron Paul. This blows my mind and I must address it directly and plainly. It is not my intention to offend, but I’m sure it will. I will assume that the hard core Paulian disciples are a minority that will actually do a write in, but who knows. I hope that that mindset is not in all of them because that is dangerous. Whatever the case, here is my letter to Ron Paul supporters:
Dear Paulian Libertarians,
Your devotion to your candidate is unquestionable and, to an extent, that is admirable. I am sure that it is not so much the person as it is his principles and concepts that you agree with and you wish to see implemented in this great land of ours’. Personally, I can agree with Mr. Paul on his idea of the size of government, abolishing the Fed, his economic ideas and things like that. Other things, such as his reckless ideology on foreign policy, I find entirely insane. I think he’s crazy and misguided on those issues. We will all probably agree on some things and disagree on others, some more vehemently than others. However, please explain to me how you think it is a good thing to “write in” your vote for Ron Paul. How is that helpful? How will that make a difference? How valid is a third party?
I assume that you have the same deep concern for our country that I do. It seems clear to me that you agree that we have been traveling the completely wrong direction and things must change in order to preserve America and our liberty. How, then, does it help save our country by splitting the republican vote? I know it is not about party so much as principles. However, we are a 2 party system. A third party only splits one of the other 2 and in this case, it will split the republican vote, therefore, ushering in the end of America as Obama, once again, wipes his butt with our Constitution when he takes his 2nd “oath” of office next January.
Let’s be very honest. Ron Paul means well, but he doesn’t have a snowball’s chance in . . . well, you know . . . of winning the election, whether he’s on the ballot as a 3rd party or if all of you write his name on the ballot. So, I ask, in all sincerity, is it better to support the GOP candidate (as inadequate as he may be to real conservatism) in order to beat Obama and, at least, slow down our demise? In this case, there may be a better chance to get things back on track, in the long run. Or, the other option is, you go ahead with your asinine idea of the “write in”, thus splitting the vote only to ensure Obama’s return to turning us into a crappy socialized nation. Which makes more sense? Is it more important to you to stick with your guy even though it means everything that liberty’s internal enemy remains in power? Or is it more important to take steps, when possible, toward the right direction? I’ll admit, I’m not a huge fan of Romney. I have severe questions about his true conservatism. But you know what? He’s not Obama. No matter what, I know that the country will not survive another Obama term. We have to do what we can, however we can do it, to get this administration out of our capitol! We have to stand together, as conservatives, as lovers of freedom, as Americans, as those who want a good American future for future generations . . . we MUST stand together and get this administration out.
It looks like Romney will be our candidate. I’m not thrilled, but it’s him or a lame duck Obama (which will be indescribably detrimental to our republic and our freedom). That’s the easiest choice since pizza vs. salad. In that light, Romney is the greatest guy on the planet for me. So, you all need to look at the bigger picture and pry your heads out of your butts . . . . we start saving America with what we’ve got, or we give up, cry about it, and find ourselves in a socialist European clone. We have to stand together and work for the good of the country. It’s not just about the presidency, either. If you’ll read my previous post, we need to get the presidency and both sides of congress. We have tons of work to do in order to get this country back on track. Are you in or do you want to sulk in the corner? It’s time to put on your big boy pants and join the rest of us. We all have issues, but we all have a common love for America and freedom, too. Please, can we work on this together?

The USA Leads the World!! (and other thoughts)

Wait a minute, wait a minute . . . I was a little too excited to see that we were number one at something, again. My apologies. Yeah, we’re number one, but this sucks! Check out this graph that was released today . . .
And this was from the end of 2011, so we might have a bigger lead, now!! This is fantastic! OH, and hey, don’t forget about our other trophy, too: highest debt per capita!
Ask yourself: Will this get better under another Obama term or will we be ground into the dirt to be made “equal” to the rest of the world . . . or worse off, if that’s possible. Is there any hope of this changing with the socialist regime that we have, or do we have a far better chance at surviving if we return to the Constitution and work through the hard times as we set this thing right?
Pretty simple questions, folks. And while I’m thinking of the election, allow me to share a couple other nuggets. Today, we saw the unfortunate, but (unfortunately) fateful withdraw of Rick Santorum from the race. It seems, unless something really bizarre happens, Romney will be the GOP candidate. I don’t trust him and I’d imagine many of you are like me. However, I’d vote for a skunk’s butt before voting for the alternative. So, folks, It’s time to be troopers and rally behind the guy . . . any guy . . . who will be the one that will go up against Obama. Here are some things to think about, though. This is not just about the presidential part of the election. If we get the Presidency back into America’s hands, that’s great, but nothing will be done to reverse the mindless, massive government agenda that has been put in place unless we get the House and Congress, too. So, please. I beg of you. Get to know your reps and senators. Learn who they are, what they stand for, they’re voting records, etc. Learn who their opponents are. Vote for people of merit and honor . . . principled people with principles and beliefs based on the Bible and the Constitution . . . like America is, has been, and will always be, lest it ceases to exist. We must take back both sides of Congress and the Presidency in order to START righting all the wrongs. It will go way beyond one election cycle, though. Which brings me to my final point . . .
Consider Obama and his radical, socialist agenda. Consider the radical, anti-Constitutional Supreme Court justices he has appointed. If he is re-elected, there is a chance he’ll get another one or 2 appointees which will further screw us for another 20, 30, . . . 50 years! (depending on how long they live) If conservatives can take the government back from the “progressives” (socialists), the GOP guy gets that potential one or two appointees. If done well, we could get a little more strength on the conservative side, thus CONSERVE the Constitution at that level.
Podcast Update and More!

I have just gotten in from another viewing of Kirk Cameron’s “Monumental” and it was just as good the 2nd time. Go see it. As I said before, support it, learn the info, and pass it on to others! While there, I met some great people that were VERY friendly and offered us a few comments and opinions about the movie. We will be talking about “Monumental” in more detail and sharing a little audio in a couple of weeks. This brings me to my point . . . I know this week has seen fewer postings than normal, but I’ve been focusing on other things. About a week ago, I announced the help of a friend and the upcoming podcast. I am excited to bring you more info on that!
The podcast will launch on MONDAY, APRIL 9TH!! That’s the Monday after Easter!! Get ready folks! We’re excited about it and are kicking around several great ideas that will help keep people aware of what’s going on, what the Bible says, and how we can return America to greatness! I hope you can join us. The first podcast will be up on Monday, April 9th and they will come out weekly, on Mondays. If, by chance you spoke to us at a theater, or if you’re just curious about “Monumental,” know that we will tie the movie and comments into our 2nd show that will post on April 16th.
May I offer a big “thank you” to those of you who have been reading this. I know it has been a little bit of a hodge podge of different things – sometimes more history with a little research, sometimes more Bible, sometimes more ranting, and sometimes a simple comment with a linked story/video. I guess that is the nature of a blog . . . a little bit of everything!
