Well, America, this week was another rerun of the same worthless show that the GOP has given us the past 5 years, with the exception of Ted Cruz, Mike Lee, and a handful of others. While the world had plenty of time to see the spitefulness, childishness, and complete void of responsibility that is the Obama administration during the so-called “government shutdown,” Republican leaders demonized their own (Ted Cruz and co.) and caved like the pile of wusses they are. They talked a good game and for a small bit, I had hope. Then, as if on cue, Boehner and company derailed America, again, and planted their noses right back in the rear end of the progressives. I’m sure you’ve all heard by now, but real quick, here’s what I understand happened in the alleged deal to re-open the government (that never really was closed):
- The whole ordeal was, supposedly, about Obamacare and its funding. Did anybody else feel like they spoke about that at the beginning, then maybe at the very end, but that entire discussion was lost in the juvenile delinquency and hostility of this administration?
- GOP caved to “make a deal to re-open the government.” That deal included everything Obama cried about and nothing the republicans supposedly fought for.
- The debt ceiling was raised.
- Obamacare was not delayed or defunded, so remains intact for the destruction of our health care and economy.
- Oh, and perhaps one of the best things (as if those aren’t already great enough), Mitch McConnell got a $2 billion earmark for his home-state in the deal.
Well, the Washington Times reported today that this wonderful compromise only included a date extension on the nation’s borrowing limit. You got that? A date to cut it off. Not a dollar amount. So, any amount this administration can waste between now and the cut off date is apparently allowable. That being the case, today marked a new record high in our nation’s debt!
Today . . . and today alone . . . America’s debt increased by $328 BILLION . . . . just today. That officially puts us over the $17 trillion mark. You can read the whole story here, but a graph is below.
This is going to be swell. Thanks, Boehner and all you other spineless twits. (For the record, I only blame the GOP for caving. Everything leading up to that was completely in Obama and the dems court.)
Oh, and to top it all off, Obama has declared that, now, he wants to push for immigration reform . . . aka, amnesty . . . along with higher taxes and spending.
I know I’ve said it, but if you are familiar with Cloward & Piven, Marxism, Saul Alinsky, the communist agenda for America, the Nazi propaganda machine . . . this all makes sense. It has all been done and talked about and Obama follows the script. If you aren’t familiar, please do the research and help become a part to the solution.
Prior to the 2012 election, a co-worker who happens to be an Obama voter approached me about why I vote republican. I believe she was genuinely looking for information to distinguish the 2 parties. I did talk to this person, several times, and each time things became clearer to me. I gave her the benefit of the doubt at first, but then she admitted that she has always voted democrat just because that’s what her parents did. Now that there was a “black” man in office . . . well, he’s one of them and I guess the very people against racism voted purely on skin color because it was very clear to me during our conversations that she could not see past his pigmentation. When confronted with facts of what he said he wanted to do, with his background, the people he surrounds himself with, the results of his policies throughout history, etc., none of it mattered. She was hell-bent on declaring that he’s doing a good job and doing all he can with the republicans working against him. Hard numbers on paper meant nothing to her. Only skin color.
I did my best to educate her on my stances and my vote, based on principles rather than party. I explained to her the differences of the parties and how they have changed over the last 100 years. I explained the progressive agenda vs. what it means to be a conservative. I walked her through the reasons conservatives usually speak of liberty for all Americans, without promising specific things to individual racial groups or demographics, while liberals promise unrealistic dreams to each group separately, thus fostering division. When I asked her why and how she felt Obama was doing a good job, she never had any substantial reason. She could not back up her wishful thinking and remained willfully blind and deaf.
Nothing I said or wrote mattered and she cast her vote for the destructive policies that are presently killing us. Ever since we learned of the extra costs of Obamacare, she, and others like her, has been thrown into a tailspin of, “I thought this was supposed to be cheaper. I thought this would help us.”
Yep. Should have listened, looked at facts, and looked at history. Nevermind that, though. My point is that there are many more like her where reality is slowly setting in and their eyes are beginning to see. There’s not much we can do now except hope that eyes are, in fact, opening up to the truth. I would hope that these people can see, at the very least, some truth in what conservatives have been saying. Perhaps, then, we can start to right this thing. As much as I would love to say “I told you so,” I won’t. Some days, I envision sitting across from her and asking, “So, do you still want to hang in there with your Obama vote?” But, again, that would serve nothing. Thankfully, though, this administration is exposing itself in broad daylight, with nothing to hide anymore.
Look at this ridiculous “government shutdown.” A mere 17% of the government is allegedly shutdown. That is minimal and the administration is picking the most petty, “painful” things for the average American. Nevermind the fact that while some small areas are deemed unnecessary and are “shut down” they are paying for extra security, barricades, etc. on areas that have never had such security. So, it seems they might be using more than 83% of government employees, anyway, not to mention the absurd extra cost! I’m sure you are aware of some of what’s going on, but Breitbart has made a list available of some of the most outrageous things this administration has chosen to punish the people with. Check that out, but ask yourself why. Why is the administration choosing to act this way? Why do they say the national mall is closed to tourists, veterans, and everyone else, yet they will allow a pro-amnesty rally to take place today . . . on the “closed” national mall? Of course it fits their agenda, but it was sponsored by AFL-CIO and SEIU . . . wow, who could have seen that one coming!? Why are they acting so childish and petty when the GOP has ceded much ground and attempted to fund everything except Obamacare, yet the progressives will not even have an honest conversation about matters? The entire time they do this, the liberals falsely accuse conservatives of doing exactly what they themselves are doing! Why are they so determined to, once again, ram a destructive health care bill through without any discussion, knowing that it doesn’t work and is a failure?
Ultimately, they are doing what they do because it has absolutely nothing to do with law, fairness, or people. It is, rather, about absolute control. That is all progressives want: absolute control because, after all, they believe they know better than we do and they want to play the role of god. They lie, manipulate, bully and try to instill fear in everyone just to gain full control. Personally, I think it’s way past time that we stand up to the bullies and remind them who works for who and remove those who don’t play by the rules (our law of the land . . . the Constitution). The simple phrase, “we will not comply” is ringing loudly!
I can only hope that the circus that is playing out before us works in our favor. As the progressives show their hand, I hope and pray that everyone will see them for who and what they really are. Then, maybe we can have an honest dialogue, get these destructive people out and get going again in the right direction. In the meantime, if someone’s eyes aren’t quite open, but they claim to believe in the Bible, check out the following verses and ask yourself if they describe this administration, or not. If so, does it illustrate good or evil? Don’t assume you know, check it out for yourself. Look at the attitudes, words, and actions and test them against Scripture. It is clear. (I emphasized things that stick out to me.)
Galatians 5:19-21 reads, “Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
James 3:13 – 18 states, “Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom. But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic. For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.”
There are a ton of applicable verses in Proverbs, but here are a couple. First: 28:25, “He who is of a proud heart stirs up strife, but he who trusts in the Lord will be prospered.” Then, 27:3 says, “A stone is heavy and sand is weighty, but a fool’s wrath is heavier than both of them.”
Colossians 3:8 – 9, “But now you yourselves are to put off all these: anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth. Do not lie to one another . . . “
So, do the administration’s actions, attitudes, and words line up with Scripture? Good or evil?
Again, it’s pretty clear. So . . . about that “I told you so” . . .
As I type this, we are well into day 2 of armagedd . . . or, well, the so-called government shutdown. It kinda seems like the world is still in orbit and life still goes on for all of us despite a mere fraction of the government being put on extra paid time off. However, liberals want us to believe that the entire government was actually shut down and it could very well mean the end of the world as we know it. Don’t get me wrong, I understand that this does affect some families who may not be getting a paycheck during this time. That is rough and stressful, no doubt. However, as long as those families can make it through this stretch, they’ll be fine. Those paychecks will resume with back pay for the days missed in the “shut down.” Though any time a family is stressed about money issues is unfortunate, this “shutdown” fiasco is not the big thing liberals are making it out to be. Now, I want to focus on one area of this “shutdown” debacle that I find telling and infuriating.
Monuments, memorials, and our vets.
Do you recall a few months ago, when the liberals were trying to make us all scared of sequester cuts? Then, people like me and many other conservatives were saying that sequester was no big deal . . . please make those cuts and a lot more. During that time, while most functioning people knew that it wouldn’t (and shouldn’t) be a big deal, the Obama administration wanted to make sure it was as “painful as possible” on the American people. They wanted us to become uncomfortable so they could blame it, once again, on their political enemies and divide American citizens even more. They picked the items to cut, such as White House tours and other things, which were completely unnecessary, while they continued to live as the pompous kings and elite that they view themselves (but are not). We have that pathetic, juvenile attitude again with the Washington mall.
As you have probably heard by now, a group of World War II veterans had planned for months to visit the WWII memorial in DC . . . their memorial. If it wasn’t for them, there would be no WWII memorial. The trip was done by Honor Flight, who does this kind of thing to honor vets. Once they arrived, they learned that this administration believes that a partial government shutdown for “non-essential” workers means that tourists can’t see the memorials – even the actual people who the memorials are standing for! Well, with the help of some republican congress members, they moved the barriers and went on to see what they traveled to see. I love that! What’s unacceptable and despicable, however, is the fact that this was not some ridiculous oversight or misunderstanding by a ridiculous administration. This was calculated and intentional. Rep. Steven Palazzo knew the group was coming and had asked the White House and Department of the Interior for special permission to allow the vets to see the memorial. That request was rejected and the response they received was “It’s a government shutdown, what do you expect?” (Really? For an outdoor memorial, open air, on public land, paid for by us . . . ??!!) Palazzo goes on to point out that “it actually requires more effort and expense to shut out these veterans from their memorial than it would to simply let them through.”
These Honor Flight trips happen regularly. More were scheduled for today from various states. One group from Ohio has been told they will not be able to see the memorial, but they went anyway. Others went and have been threatened with arrest if they walk on the memorial, but they plan on going through the barricade regardless, and good for them. To further prove Palazzo’s comment about resources, it does not take any resources to simply allow vets, or anybody for that matter, to walk through an area. However, look at these pics of several workers putting up barricades. It is all a purposeful act to try to make us more uncomfortable and give in to all controlling, statist demands. In other words, bullying . . . or, perhaps our chief cry baby throwing another tantrum in front of the world. As it turns out, the groups went, ignored the barricades, and apparently nothing happened as park security allowed the vets in. I do have to give the park security guys credit for not making a bigger debacle than it already is. However, what about other tourists or families that may have been there on a trip they’ve planned the past 2 years?
I’m no expert, but I know that there are a lot of monuments and memorials around the DC mall, on public land, paid for by tax payers’ dollars. Some, such as the WWII memorial, were built and are maintained via private funds. Those monuments are just there. They’ve been built. There is no opening or closing them. They are out in the open, easily seen and approached at any time of day. Yet, clearly, this administration believes it necessary to block off such monuments, preventing citizens from seeing them up close while walking through the park. Families and groups, such as these vets, who have planned their DC trip for months, possibly years, all of a sudden are prevented from doing what they set out to do because the Alinsky-ites want to be political bullies and tantrum throwing imbeciles. What does it cost anyone for someone to walk around on public land, looking at a memorial that is there, in the open? Nothing? Right. This whole thing is a farce and is another blatant example of the deep disdain this administration has for America, her citizens, and military.
Let’s briefly walk through the democrats vs. republicans blame game on this thing. Republicans – at least Ted Cruz, Mike Lee and a handful of others – tried doing America a favor by stopping this nefarious trainwreck that is Obamacare by defunding it. That didn’t work. The House republicans went back and forth with Senate democrats only to be rejected every time. It was the republicans who tried negotiating and have since given up some ground in an attempt to do so. They went from complete defunding to just wanting to delay Obamacare’s implementation for a year (all while funding the rest of the government). Obama, himself, has waived his own law for big business and pushed off the employer mandate. Why not for individuals, too? That’s all the republicans are asking for, now. Why not consistency? Oh, wait . .. he has never been consistent on anything, anywhere, at any time. My point is, though, that the republicans have done what they need to do and it is the dems who have whined like little cry babies, blaming republicans for not giving them everything that they want, etc., etc. The liberal definition of negotiation is, “You have to give me all of what I want right now and you get nothing in return.” It always amazes me how they inaccurately blame others for doing exactly what they themselves are doing. It is not the republicans who bullied Obamacare on this nation, yet it is the label that the dems try to put on republicans. It is not the republicans that are trying for 100% of everything, but the dems who will not budge anything for their sacred socialized medicine. It was just yesterday that Obama tried to convince everyone that it’s the republicans’ fault, again, by declaring it the “republican shutdown” multiple times. if you read Lenin, Marx, Foster and Alinsky, all of the liberal/progressive tactics should seem familiar and are perfectly clear! . . . and they’re full of crap. It has nothing to do with “the people” or healthcare, but everything to do with them controlling all of our lives.
BTW, how is our “objective” media covering this whole story? Here’s the enraging answer, but we all know mainstream media lost credibility long ago.
This administration has no consistency, no relevance, no respect, no shred of decency and no honor. Please, just let these vets have their time to see their memorial that they have waited so long to see and leave us all alone.

Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people. – Proverbs 14:34
No doubt, you have seen how ridiculous the news is. The state of our country. The politicians. The degradation of our moral fabric and complete irresponsibility. The attempt at squelching anything good and right. The current battles in DC are focused on Obamacare and the looming government shutdown that we’re supposed to believe will hurt (. . . I say bring it on. Let’s go ahead and prove how useless the non-essential government agencies are. It’s in their label. In fact, let’s close them and leave them that way.). This latest self-made-crisis in this crisis-centered administration is a result of a horribly un-American and deeply detrimental bill forced on us by the Marxists that have hijacked our highest offices. Remember the scene when this insidious bill passed: The majority of Americans didn’t want it. Citizens of Canada and Russia were telling us not to go that route. Communist dictator, Hugo Chavez, was praising Obama for doing such a drastic thing. The bill was so hated by Americans that they had to ram it down America’s throat in the dark of night after, of course, the always dreadful Nancy Pelosi made a fool of herself by stating, “We need to pass it to find out what’s in it.” Also, how can we forget that’s it’s so wonderful and perfect for Americans that Obama himself has already delayed parts of it and nobody in the government wants in on it.
What would change this scenario? These people were voted in by other people. It has nothing to do with our laws or anything . . . just grotesque misguidance and departure from our principles and what’s right.
Remember, also, the recent shooting at the Navy Yard in DC. Naturally, the left want to use that as another political moment to ram “gun control” down America’s throat, even though we don’t want it or need it. Kerry signed his name to the UN small arms treaty last week which is an attempt to give our sovereignty and freedom to the global socialists (btw, please contact your Congressmen and make sure they oppose any UN nonesense). Regarding the Navy Yard shooter, would any law or treaty have prevented him from doing that? Please consider the fact that DC has very strict gun laws. By him having a gun and taking it into that building was against the law. Then, he shot an officer and stole his gun . . . also against the law. See, the unlawful crazy people and criminals will always disobey the law, so more laws are not the answer. So, if more laws are not the answer, what is the answer? Can violence be stopped?
Our society is more perverse in accepting deviant behavior and calling it “alternative” and claiming we must love every one and not hate. Oddly, that makes an argument about the person when the any objection is actually not about the person at all, but the harmful behavior. Is it more loving to want to steer someone the right way that would benefit them as opposed to allowing them to stay on a destructive course? Whatever the case, does any government or laws need to dictate such matters and can they make a difference in the direction of our country?
All of the above happen in a time when Wendy Davis, the Texas State House rep. that filibustered in favor of killing unborn babies, is heralded as a hero and an up and coming political superstar. Then, Ted Cruz, who does all he can to shine light on the truth of Obamacare’s destructiveness to our life and liberty, is crapped on and attacked with tons of inaccurate names and accusations. In the same world, when one athlete says he’s gay and is heralded as a hero and is on the front page of periodicals. Yet, a strong Christian athlete is chastised and treated like an idiot outcast and told he should shut up. Something is terribly, terribly wrong, America. Something has gone drastically wrong and no government official, politician, or law will ever change it. We need a drastic change and a return to our founding principles . . . to our Constitution. How can it be done?
Address and change the heart.
Nothing changes until the heart of the nation is right, healthy and whole. How does that happen? The answer is simple, but can prove to be difficult: return to God.
Only in admitting that we have strayed, that we need help in returning, repenting, and actively strive to return to God will we ever be healed and restored as a nation. Say what you will, but this is the only answer. This nation needs revival like never before.
Examine yourself. Where are you with the Lord? It has to start with each of us, individually.
When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when a wicked man rules, the people groan. – Proverbs 29:2
If a ruler pays attention to lies, all his servants become wicked. – Proverbs 29:12
Evil men do not understand justice, but those who seek the Lord understand all. – Proverbs 28:5
One who turns away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer is an abomination. – Proverbs 28:9
A ruler who lacks understanding is a great oppressor, but he who hates covetousness will prolong his days. – Proverbs 28:16

Earlier today, Obama spoke at the UN. Good news, folks! He declared that the world is more stable than it was five years ago! That’s incredible! When do the unicorns start dropping off pots of gold at my doorstep? I don’t even know what that last statement means, but if we’re going to a fantasy world, I like the thought of unicorns bringing me a bunch of gold! Crap, let’s make them winged unicorns so they can fly around and drop off the gold like storks drop off babies. OMG, this fantasy world is so fabulous! And, and . . . and maybe oompa loompas are the ones that take care of the unicorns and feed them Willy Wonka’s candy all day every day . . . and everybody on the whole planet busts out in a wonderful show tune, along with all of the animals, every 15 minutes, singing the praises of our incredible global, socialist utopia!
Give me a break.
We all know it’s bullcrap. Nothing is more stable. Everything is far less stable and we could probably make a decent case that Obama has had his sorry hand in a good bit of it, stirring it all up. Then, he has the audacity to stand in front of the world and claim that completely bold-faced lie. I’m convinced that this man has never uttered a word of truth in his life, but I digress.
When I first read the news on his session of lies at the UN, I was angry (as I usually am when he opens his mouth) and blown away that he would actually say that. After thinking about it, though, it began to make a little more sense. See, I’m a Christian. I’m an American. I love freedom. I believe in individual liberty and individual responsibility. I believe in our Constitution and the principles on which we were founded. That’s the lens through which I view things.
That certainly is not the lens through which Obama views anything. He’s got a couple of ways of looking at things: as a Marxist who believes big, over-reaching global government that decides who does what, when and where, who lives and dies, and everything else . . . or as a supporter of the Muslim Brotherhood who believes in a global caliphate under Sharia law. He has close ties to both of these and neither work with American ideals. So, looking at things from an American perspective, he’s a complete idiot and liar, living in a totally dolled-out fantasy world. However, while I declare him an idiot many times, he is not actually an idiot. He is deliberate and calculating as it pertains to his agenda. So, from the perspective of the muslim brotherhood, he may have a point.
In the last five years, Obama has allowed a ton of people into the administration that have direct ties to the muslim brotherhood or are sympathetic to them in the name of political correctness. If you listened to the podcast last year, you know we covered this fairly extensively. Perhaps, I’ll re-cover that in a future post and remind everyone of the connections. Over the last 3 years, or so, look at what happened in Egypt, Libya, Syria, and all across the middle east. Obama might have a point. I guess things are not perfectly peachy for the muslim brotherhood, but the case can be made that it is certainly more stable for them if we try to look from their point of view.
Just a thought.
In case you’ve been under a rock and haven’t heard, the Senate will vote to defund Obamacare sometime this week. Ted Cruz and Mike Lee seem to be the only true conservatives with even a shred of logic, principles, and spine. I don’t know much about Lee, but from his fight against Obamacare, I like the guy. Being Texan and a two-time voter for Ted Cruz, I can genuinely say, “Thank God for Ted.” I wish more people would have the spine to stand on principles like him and do the job they are sent to D.C. to do!
I’d assume that most of you who have employer provided healthcare have seen the detrimental change on the horizon. I know I have. As a brief example of what many are experiencing, here’s how things look for me and my co-workers. Again, this is how things are at my work and everything is different with every employer. Here’s what we get:
- Cost of monthly premiums almost double.
- Employer HSA contributions are decreased by almost half
- Part time employees are not given anything except the option of enrolling at their own expense (used to be partially paid by employer)
- While the organization is doing all it can to cover full time employee’s medical insurance, they can only cover actual full time employees, no longer families. They do cover half of the expense when they used to cover the vast majority of it all for employees and their families.
- I work at a non-profit org. The above point means that employees, at a non-profit (which means lower income than for-profit employment), now have to come up with about $400 per month (about half of the monthly premium which is closer to $900), which they didn’t have before, just for basic medical insurance.
- This also includes a $10,000 to $15,000 annual deductable, depending on which plan is chosen and it seems like nothing goes toward the deductable – things like preventive care, prescription drugs, co-pays, etc. None of that goes toward the annual deductable.
- If this same family wants/needs dental coverage, that’s a little over another $100 per month. Anything else they may need is extra, too.
- Medicare monthly allowances for those on Medicare have been eliminated
You get the idea. Again, this is at my work and some of yours’ may be better or worse scenarios. Whatever the case, this is not good and many people with families don’t know how they are going to make it work. People cannot afford this so-called “Affordable Care Act.”
This thing is a disaster and will cripple the entire country. I’ve known that from day one. Most of you reading this are smart people and you’ve known it from day one. This isn’t about the government giving a crap about citizens’ healthcare. They don’t give a rip about our well being. They care about control. This is just like gun control. It’s not about the object or violence, it is about them gaining control over our lives and making it easier to force us into things we don’t want and stripping us of freedom. This Obamacare fiasco is the same focus on control . . . not you, your family, or your well being. It would not surprise me at all if they have danced around and dragged out the Syria thing like they have in order to take the public’s attention off of Obamacare and the effort to stop it so close to its implementation. The progressives know if the public has a chance to focus on facts that the bill doesn’t have a chance. Make no mistake, this monstrosity will do more damage – it already is doing some damage – but will do more to kill this economy, healthcare and our liberty than anything else.
The liberal New York Times is even reporting that Obamacare is going to ruin choices and level of care. Does this spell out better healthcare for the masses, or worse?
Let me ask you this: Does the government know what you and your family need more than you? If you need medical attention, do you think they will make responsible decisions to help you and your family? Or do you know better? Do you think you can make better decisions with just you and your doctor involved? Do you want the government telling you what to eat, how much to eat, what you can and can’t do, or anything else? If you’re like me the answer is a deafening “NO WAY!” We need the government out of our lives so we can bring the country back to where it was. We need this worthless, socialist government out of the way and replaced with a Constitutional government so we can, once again, enjoy liberty and prosperity and good health care unlike any other country on the planet . . . and, therefore, be the most benevolent.
So, if you agree with me, please do your part and call your senators. If it were possible, I’d suggest calling their offices every 5 minutes and bug the living daylights out of them, making sure they know we mean business. Call them and let them know you expect them to listen to the American people and do their jobs by representing us. They must stop Obamacare by defunding it. They must oppose a cloture vote, and vote to defund it. This is the last stand before this thing wrecks all of our lives. Please call your senators and let’s give it all we’ve got!
If you have not signed the “Don’t Fund Obamacare” petition, go here to do so. The site also has a list of Senate Republicans who have not yet agreed to defund it. Bug them to do so.
Don’t know your Senator’s phone number? Go here.
This past week revealed a very disturbing move by the pitifully and grossly misnomered “leadership” of this country. By now, you may have seen it or heard about it, but I’ll address it and make sure you know of the update the White House gave earlier in the weekend.
Last week, Obama waived a federal law that prevents the arming and support of known enemies. This guy, further proving how anti-American he is, cited his authority via the Arms Export Control Act that he would “waive the prohibitions in sections 40 and 40A of the AECA related to such a transaction,” according to an article from the Washington Examiner. The article goes on to explain that the 2 sections cited prohibit sending weapons to countries described in section 40d which states: “The prohibitions contained in this section apply with respect to a country if the Secretary of State determines that the government of that country has repeatedly provided support for acts of international terrorism.”
So why did he do this? He did it so he could send more weapons to help the Syrian rebels. Who are the rebels? As we all probably know by now, the rebels are al Qaeda . . . a sworn enemy to the United States of America! Al Queda is battling the Assad regime, which is backed by Hezbollah/Iran . . . also sworn enemies of the U.S. But you might be thinking, “But wait. Haven’t they told us that the Syrian rebels just want freedom? That they’re just moderate, democracy loving muslims?” Yes, they have told us that, but like every single word that has defecated from their mouths every day for the past 5 years, it’s a lie! The rebels are al Qaeda. So, let’s take a quick walk through, again . . . We are told that the Syrian rebels are moderate people that are good and we can arm, train, and support. It is destructive and against the law to aid and abet known enemies. Al Qaeda is a known enemy. The administration makes a point to waive the federal provision which prohibits us from helping the known enemies.
(Of course, don’t forget that Obama has told us numerous times that al Qaeda is on the run and are no longer a threat. Although, the attack in Nairobi yesterday that had al Qaeda linked Somali terrorists kill about 59 people was just a fluke, I’m sure. Al Qaeda is not hostile, right? I think they’ve been in love with America since the 9-11 attacks.)
If al Qaeda is not an enemy, threat, or anything else, why would Obama find it necessary to waive that law? He wouldn’t do that if it wasn’t an issue. He is knowingly and deliberately aiding and abetting the enemy at the cost of American tax payers, national security and American lives. Glenn Beck did a segment on this exact thing last week, as well. If interested in his breakdown of things, check it out.
Bottom line is: this is treason. We can go back to 2009 and begin working our way down the long list of grievances, abuses of power, and illegal crap from this administration. Every last one of these people should be impeached for not holding up their oath to protect and defend the Constitution. However, I won’t retread that road at this moment. This specific event alone is treasonous. Period.
How much of this will we take, America? How much longer can this country and our freedom survive if we the people do not intervene and cast these domestic, evil enemies out and replace them with people who will protect America . . . not destroy it from within. I don’t have an answer. I wish I did. I wish we could all go to Washington and clean out our property. It’s not theirs. It’s OURS’! This country is about the ideals of individual freedom, responsibility, free market economics, faith, and all the good stuff that this administration is killing! This madness must stop and, like you, I want answers and wish we could stop it now instead of waiting another 3 years. I don’t have concrete solutions, but I know, without a doubt, the main solution is a spiritual one. Nothing changes until the heart of the nation changes and that won’t change until we return to God. Now, let’s see what the founders said about treason.
Article 3, Section 3 of the U. S. Constitution states:
Treason against the United States, shall consist only on levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.
The Congress shall have power to declare the Punishment of Treason, but no Attainder of Treason shall work Corruption of Blood, or Forfeiture except during the Life of the Person attainted.
Naturally, the founders’ benchmark for law was British Common Law because that’s what they knew. Some of their early influences, Edward Coke, Baron de Montesquieu, Sir Matthew Hale, and Sir William Blackstone, all believed treason to be the highest of crimes. According to The Heritage Guide to the Constitution, common law punished treason in brutal ways that included drawing and quartering, hanging and beheading (pg. 264). It certainly was viewed as punishable by death. One term I was unsure of and had to learn about was “attainder.”
The Heritage Guide to the Constitution explains “attainder,” or being attaint, as a part of being judged guilty of treason. Specifically, to be “attaint” means that the guilty party is viewed as “stained” and “dead in the eyes of the law” (pg. 266). What that means is, once the treasonous person is declared attaint, he forfeits all possessions, real estate, rights/entitlements, etc. to the crown . . . as if he’s dead. Original common law held that this forfeiture of property and rights was a done deal, even to dependants and family. So, after the guilty person is executed, the family still did not have those rights and property and it presented a big hardship on those dependents. Thus the line in article 3, section 3 that reads, “ . . . no Attainder of Treason shall work Corruption of Blood . . . “ The original common law idea was that this would be harsh for the purpose of serving as a deterrent to treasonous behavior since it was a hardship for the surviving family. They later lightened up on it and made that provision apply through the end of the life of the treasonous person. The founders, when drafting the Constitution, put the decision of punishment in the hands of Congress so, while execution and keeping things from the “corruption of blood (as old common law) were/are still options, the idea was to have a little more leniency in order to avoid some of the harshest elements of common law, when possible (pg. 266).
Treason is serious business. Giving aid and comfort to our enemies is treason and this administration is guilty – not just in Syria, but Libya, Egypt, the Mexican drug cartels . . . and Lord only knows who else. I can’t comprehend why many more people are not talking about this!
There has been some talk, however, and back to that Washington Examiner article . . . they, apparently, updated it yesterday with a statement from the White House. They report a statement that includes the phrase “chemical weapons-related personal protective equipment” or a similar phrase 4 times. The full statement is at the bottom of the article, so you can read it on your own if you want. They use that description of what they claim to want to give the rebels multiple times in a fairly short statement. It’s like they’re trying to prove something to us. Like they aren’t actually going to send weapons to our enemies, but “chemical weapons-related protective gear.” These people cannot be trusted and their track record proves it. And, hey, remember Lenin’s words: “A lie told often enough becomes truth.”
Hello Cyberworld and friends of Unapologetically Right!! As we received some long desired and much needed rain yesterday in the great state of Texas, we got a little help for our current drought here. Everything is not perfect, but it helped. I decided to do something about the drought of information and opinions coming from here, as well. My last post, which was in May, stated that I was going to focus on another venture, moving back into student ministry type of stuff. So, my complete absence in recent months has been due to focusing on that.
Full disclosure: that actually ended a month ago. It was a “summer experiment” and the church was actually a bad steward of its budget and ran out of money to pay for my position the first half of August. My time got freed up a little more, but I have been fairly lazy to get back on writing. I can honestly say, however, that not a day has gone by that I have not thought about posting my thoughts on many things. There certainly is no shortage of things to deal with! I just have not focused enough to do it. That ends now. I want to get back into venting my thoughts and sharing things with you that, hopefully, make you think, chuckle, share, talk, or whatever!
Aside from me knocking the rust off and posting thoughts, again, I’ll let you know that the podcast is still at the forefront of my mind. I know some of you prefer to read while some prefer to listen to a fairly wheels-off show. I loved making the show and felt like we were, gradually, improving as we learned what we were doing. I still want to resume the podcast as soon as possible, but the issue of equipment and software is still there. However, I can say that I received a call yesterday from a good friend, who had been a guest on the podcast. He loved being on the show and really believes in what I was doing/am wanting to do with it and we are in talks of restarting that together . . . once we have the necessary equipment. If that happens, it will be next year sometime, more than likely. However, I would ask you to please join us in praying about that: if we should do it, that we can get the necessary equipment to do the show the best we can, the direction and topics to hit on, etc. Please join us in that and let me know any thoughts you have on that – if you’d like it or not.
With that, you are updated and I must go prepare for an appointment I have in a little bit. I will be back soon with some typical Unapologetically Right stuff!! Oh yeah!
I hope you’re still with me!
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. – Ephesians 6:12-13
I post this today to, simply, let you know where I am with Unapologetically Right. It is no secret this administration is an absolute disaster. I have never seen the level of anti-American, unconstitutional mess, along with the lying, deception, and corruption in any administration. It may have been there, but I, personally, have never witnessed this level of crap before. They knowingly and willingly have us on a suicidal path at a breakneck speed and I can’t handle it. There is plenty to talk about. I could rant all day about everything in the news, but, ultimately, where would that get us? All of us can gripe and point out the obvious. Thankfully, there are many fellow bloggers, talk show hosts, etc. that are sharing the news, opinions, and truth and they are getting the job done well.
I have not posted anything new the past week because as soon as I committed to rolling this out, again, a potential opportunity came up. The last several days have had me mulling it over. As I type this, I am leaning toward taking the opportunity. It is, essentially, a second job, in youth ministry . . . something I did several years ago. If you are an Unapologetically Right reader, or if you ever heard the podcast, you know that I am a Christian and I believe the fundamental root of the issues we face in this country are spiritual. What better way to work on the issue, at a grassroots level, than in a “ministry” that focuses on the youth, faith, morals, Biblical principles and honor?
If I do, in fact, take this new role, it will further limit any research time I have to bring to the blog. Truth be told, my vision for the blog has changed somewhat, anyway. I’ve reached a point where I honestly do not believe that we, nor anybody, can move forward . . . to actually progress . . . . without first stepping back. Until we know and understand who we are, how America was founded, why, by whom, what makes certain values American, etc., we won’t move anywhere except backwards. Until we get our history, we will never move forward. We have to take many steps back to re-trace our history and return to what was successful prior to moving forward. (I’m talking actual “progress” and “moving forward” . . . not the bullcrap way the progressives have hijacked the terms in order to beat us into submissive slavery.)
So, regarding the blog, that’s my current vision. I would really like to take some time to research more history and bring it to you, to simply remind us all who we once were, what made us great and the events and people that enabled the greatest amount of true progress throughout all of history! The problem is, I’m a visionary . . . I envision big things that are beyond my means of getting them done easily, or alone. If I take this 2nd job, I will not be able to read and research as much. I will post when I am able, but it simply will not be at the frequency I’d like. My apologies for that, but I do appreciate the encouragement several of you have given and any prayers you may offer as it seems I may step back into the world of ministry soon. I do hope to keep writing and sharing things with you, as the opportunity presents itself. Thank you very much for your patience, and thanks for the encouragement you’ve given along the way.
If you have not “liked” Unapologetically Right on Facebook, yet, do that now. As I get busier, I might be more likely to post smaller things on the FB page in between bigger blog postings.
I will share more as soon as I can! In the meantime, read and learn America’s history, as well as the Bible. We’ll never get out of this funk until we do so! Stay strong, patriots!
God bless America!
