Podcast Update and More!
Posted by Unapologetically Right in Uncategorized, Politics, Current Events, Religion on March 31, 2012
I have just gotten in from another viewing of Kirk Cameron’s “Monumental” and it was just as good the 2nd time. Go see it. As I said before, support it, learn the info, and pass it on to others! While there, I met some great people that were VERY friendly and offered us a few comments and opinions about the movie. We will be talking about “Monumental” in more detail and sharing a little audio in a couple of weeks. This brings me to my point . . . I know this week has seen fewer postings than normal, but I’ve been focusing on other things. About a week ago, I announced the help of a friend and the upcoming podcast. I am excited to bring you more info on that!
The podcast will launch on MONDAY, APRIL 9TH!! That’s the Monday after Easter!! Get ready folks! We’re excited about it and are kicking around several great ideas that will help keep people aware of what’s going on, what the Bible says, and how we can return America to greatness! I hope you can join us. The first podcast will be up on Monday, April 9th and they will come out weekly, on Mondays. If, by chance you spoke to us at a theater, or if you’re just curious about “Monumental,” know that we will tie the movie and comments into our 2nd show that will post on April 16th.
May I offer a big “thank you” to those of you who have been reading this. I know it has been a little bit of a hodge podge of different things – sometimes more history with a little research, sometimes more Bible, sometimes more ranting, and sometimes a simple comment with a linked story/video. I guess that is the nature of a blog . . . a little bit of everything! I/we appreciate you checking it out and look forward to continuing writing, as well as launching the podcast in just over a week!
Keep coming back for more stories, history, and opinions. Then, check out the podcast when it launches on Monday, April 9th.
Thanks and see ya soon.

. . . and who’s the racist?
Posted by Unapologetically Right in Current Events, Politics, social issues, Uncategorized on March 29, 2012
Lately, there has obviously been tons of talk about the Trayvon Martin situation. It is unfortunate to say the least. However, what do we know about what actually happened that night? I haven’t read every piece of news out there, but it seems like we don’t actually no what went down at the scene. Was this kid killed? Yep, and that’s sad. What led to that unfortunate event, though? Apparently, the guy who did it claimed self defense and, I’ve heard of at least one witness story that supported that. I don’t know how legit that was, but who cares. The point I’m driving at is no one really knows because we weren’t there. It is certainly possible the man acted in a manner of self defense and it’s equally possible that he didn’t. We won’t actually know until all of the ACTUAL FACTS are allowed to come out. We are already at the point that I fear the facts won’t really come out. If they do, to any extent, I fear that no one will hear them or pay them any attention.
It is no secret that, since Obama has taken office, this country is as divided as it’s ever been. It is also no secret, if we’re all honest and forget about “political correctness”, it is mostly black groups that fuel racism and keep it alive, declaring it where it is not and complaining about anything and everything. I have no problem with people based on their pigmentation, but please prove me wrong on this. We are at a scary place with this Trayvon situation. No longer are people worried about the facts of the case, or about the kid’s family. It has blown up into a racially charged circus that could be used to ignite all kinds of trouble. Notice the absence of Obama and any intelligible and responsible words. I feel like he’s letting things go as they may in order to allow the chaos and, what may turn into violence. I don’t know, though, I am only speculating and will stop now before going too far. What I do know is the guy who can help bring his perspective is in hiding because one of the more vocal and obnoxious groups speaking out on the case is the New Blank Panther party. This group is dangerous. They don’t give a crap about Trayvon or his family. They are, however, using this as an opportunity to spew their crap as loud as possible to further the strands of division. Don’t believe me? Allow me to introduce you. Here’s a recent clip of the New Black Panthers on Anderson Cooper:
Keep in mind what he said and how he said it. And it’s the white people who are racist? No. These people are fueling it more than anybody. Here’s another great clip from another member. This is not the same guy, obviously, but still a leader in the New Black Panthers and wants to kill “crackers” and their babies:
My point is not to completely attack these thugs, but to call attention to it. As I’ve said on other occasions, stay alert and aware, everybody. There are evil forces at work and they will do all they can to divert from the truth. Look for truth, stay grounded on the facts. If you don’t know the facts, don’t jump to conclusions. Wait and hold hate-filled people like these at bay.
Monumental Thoughts
Posted by Unapologetically Right in Current Events, History, Politics, Religion, social issues, Uncategorized on March 28, 2012
I had some thoughts I was hoping to formulate into sharing, but after watching “Monumental” last night, they’ve sort of morphed into a review/endorsement of the movie. Enjoy.
When asked what the greatest commandment was, I’m not convinced that Jesus’ detractors gave a rip about what His actual answer was. I think they were merely trying to trap Him into claiming that any one religious law as greater than the others. For them, that was reason enough to kill Him. However, Jesus answered boldly and honestly, “Love the Lord your God with all you heart, soul, and mind.” He went on to say that the second most important commandment is, actually, equal to the first, “Love your neighbor as yourself” (Matthew 22:37-40). Every other law is contingent upon these 2 commandments – civic or spiritual. If you uphold these two things, you won’t need any other laws to deal with because you will be living an honorable, civil, virtuous life. Even if you don’t believe in Jesus, or the Bible, would you dare claim it impossible to believe that anyone would be a menace to society by striving to live a disciplined, moral life while loving others as much as himself? This kind of life is difficult, but it is what empowers one to operate with honor and respect. Ah, yes, honor and respect. Two things that seem nonexistent in today’s society. Why?
Our focus has turned from God and put toward everything else in this world. Our affections have been twisted to believe that we will be satisfied by material things. We have forsaken dependence on God so we can depend on big government. We have traded our Christian heritage and our history for lies and deception that foster division and slavery. We’ve removed our focus, not only from God, but from ourselves and each other to blindly go where the media favorite declares is the way. We have forgotten our God, ourselves, and our past. If we don’t remember where we’ve come from, how is it possible to know who we are? How can we know which direction to go if we neglect the way from which we came?
I rarely go to movie theaters anymore. However, on the rare occasion that a good, wholesome film is out that I don’t mind shelling out my money to support, I try to do so. Last night was one of those exceptions. Last night was the special live event of Kirk Cameron’s “Monumental”, a documentary on America’s fore-fathers – the Pilgrims. I hope that some of you were able to catch it somewhere in your area. If not, please look for it as it will open in a very limited release on March 30th. If it is not in your area, the dvd is due out in July, so look for that. As you can tell, I recommend this film. It was fantastic! Cameron’s search for the truth of where we’ve come from as a nation led him, ultimately, to a very little known monument in Plymouth, MA that is the map to liberty.
When we’ve lost our way, what do we do? Look back to see where we’ve come from and look to a map to find our way out of where we are.
That’s what the monument is in the film. It is, as they called it, the “matrix of liberty.” Unfortunately, I cannot remember every part of it, but the pieces I do remember are as follows: the biggest and most important piece was faith . . . not faith in the car starting or that the food from your favorite restaurant is safe to eat . . . faith in God. The biggest part of the statue was that of faith and the lady that symbolized faith was holding a well-worn Bible in one hand with the other hand pointing to the heavens. Then, there were smaller, but equally important parts, under faith: morality, education, wisdom, evangelism, etc. that all culminated in the final piece of liberty. Liberty was personified by a young, strong warrior. One who had the ability to fight and defend to maintain what he had, but did not need to fight all the time. One who was confident and aware, always looking for the threat that would undermine liberty. The biggest key here, though, is that liberty was only possible – according to the monument – in conjunction with all of the other pieces of the monument. Beyond that, every piece had a common denominator that it showcased: the Bible. God’s Word.
This film did a fantastic job of teaching about the Pilgrims and this monument. It teaches our past and reminds us where we’ve come from. I’ve said this truth in several previous entries, and here it is again - freedom only exists (and is maintained) by faith in God, by morality/virtue, and by a disciplined restraint to not do something just because it’s possible. Possibility does not equate rightness or “ought-ness”. The film also does a great job of showing the early understanding of liberty being that of the individual’s responsibility. The health of a nation and freedom is never about the “collective” as the “progressives” want us to believe. I’ll guarantee you that if everybody focuses on themselves, returns to God and is responsible for themselves, the betterment of each individual, by nature, makes the collective better and stronger. Plus, is this idea not in Jesus’ words I mentioned at the top? If we love our neighbor as ourselves, that means we must take care of ourselves, be responsible, and love ourselves – not in an arrogant way, mind you, but a reasonable respect for oneself – then we also seek to serve those around us with that same kind of love. That’s what strengthens a society and that is what contributed to America’s greatness in our early founding.
This is probably the weirdest excuse for a “movie review”, but I thought I’d share the thoughts and urge you to see this film. Again, if it doesn’t open anywhere near you, buy the dvd in July. Support it, learn from it, and educate others with it. We must remember our past – or learn about it for the first time in some cases!
We Have to Get It Right, America
Posted by Unapologetically Right in Current Events, Politics, social issues, Uncategorized on March 26, 2012
I saw this story on Fox News this morning that scares me, yet motivates me at the same time. Obama told Russian president, Medvedev, that “when” he is re-elected, he’ll have much more “flexibility.” He thought the mic was off, but it was not. The Blaze posted the same story with video of the exchange.
This is not the only time our dictator-wannabe has showed his true colors when believing the mic was off. My purpose here is not to focus on his arrogance and blatant disdain for America, but to call an urgency to this election. To give a warning, I guess. A few months ago, Obama spoke to another group claiming that “we have five more years” to get immigration reform right. His arrogance and assurance that he has the election wrapped up is what scares me because we all know what kind of lying thug he is. I am not convinced that any of the left care about any “means” in order to get their “ends.” No matter how unlawful, unconstitutional, unethical, or unAmerican. I don’t trust that this will be an honest election in the fall. I, simply, post these stories as a warning. Please, everyone, be awake and alert. Please educate yourself. Please stand for conservative principles for what’s right. We must take a stand and win our country back from these corrupt, evil people.
America is on the verge. I think Obama and his fellow thugs have everything on the table and are all in. His statements prove my theory that, if re-elected, America is done. He will have nothing to lose and he will turn us totally socialist in the blink of an eye . . . heck, we might even leap frog the socialist phase and jump right to communism. Who knows. The bottom line is he cannot get re-elected. His intentions of running us in the ground are clear. He’s all in. How about you, conservatives? We can’t be complacent anymore. America’s life is on the line with this election. Our freedom is on the line. Are you all in?
I am.

2 Recent Samples of the Dishonorable Pelosi
Posted by Unapologetically Right in Current Events, Politics, social issues, Uncategorized on March 25, 2012
Just for fun, here are a couple of very telling clips on Nancy Pelosi. How someone can twist the Bible and our founders, then brag about how they’re bringing down society, is appalling. Absolutely amazing.
First, here’s one of her claiming that Obamacare is justified by the Declaration of Independence.
Next, here is one of her, from March 9, claiming it a “badge of honor” that there is a record number of people on food stamps under Obama from Breitbart.com. This is her, also, trying to convince us that it’s in the Gospels.

Occupy Dopiness
Posted by Unapologetically Right in Current Events, social issues, Uncategorized on March 24, 2012
In looking at the Occupy Wall Street website, I found some things that need to be researched a bit before I write anything about them. However, since the “research” will take a little more time, I did want to go ahead and post a video. I’ll warn you that it is long and, really, should be over . . . . well, it really should never exist. However, the main part of this video is over about halfway through it, about 18 minutes. Things to notice:
- I know I heard some of the occupiers tell the cops (last year) that they were on the cops’ side – that they were fighting for the cops pensions, etc. Sure. I never believed that because there was just as much anti-cop whining. Notice one of the guys going on and on about police brutality. I’m sorry, but I can’t believe that cops are just randomly slamming people heads into the concrete, breaking people’s feet, shooting people, beating them with batons, etc. Maybe these things happen, but what has the occupier done to provoke such measures?
- They claim the NYPD is now “targeting medics”. Really? NYPD is targeting more of their fellow public servants? I’m having a very hard time taking this seriously.
- Then, you can hear one gratuitous “F**k the cops!”
- They claim they barricaded cops inside zuccotti park, with cardboard boxes, and this was “protecting the city of New York from the cops” I never realized that cardboard was an officer’s kryptonite, but the occupy hippies claim to have beaten them and saved the city from their brutality.
And, of course, the most obvious thing also shows what complete dopes these people are, as if it wasn’t already obvious – why, oh why, does the mindless herd repeat every dang phrase that every “speaker” says. I cannot, for the life of me, comprehend this. And when the interaction goes like this, I’m completely astounded at the sheer idiocy of this:
speaker: Hello.
crowd: Hello.
speaker: I’m Josh
crowd: I’m Josh
Really??!!
As I mentioned, there are some things that I want to look into some more, then bring them to your attention, but in the meantime, please enjoy some of the OWS’ finest right here. (it’s the video just under the pic of the 16 year old enduring “police brutality”)

So which is it, Mitt?
Posted by Unapologetically Right in Current Events, Politics, Uncategorized on March 24, 2012
I’ve never been big on Romney. Mainly because nothing has ever convinced me that he’s actually a conservative. He may find the right terms on occasion, but what I know about him is not what I consider to be a conservative. I’ve stated early on in this blog’s entries that I think Santorum is the best candidate out there . . . not perfect, just the best, most principled guy in the race. Let it be known, whoever ends up going against Obama has my support. I can’t state this enough: America does not survive another 4 years of Obama and the crowd he surrounds himself with. However, my uncertainty and lack of trust towards Romney just got a little more uncomfortable. Watch this, from 2002 . . .

Prophetic Paul Harvey Audio – as heard on the Glenn Beck Show
Posted by Unapologetically Right in Current Events, Politics, Religion, social issues, Uncategorized on March 21, 2012
I didn’t see this yesterday, but just found it – or heard it rather. Yesterday, Beck played a monologue that Paul Harvey did in 1965. It is scary it is so prophetic and accurate! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, we are in a battle for the life of this nation . . . and it’s not just a physical battle.
Give it a listen.

Two Huge Announcements for Unapologetically Right!
Posted by Unapologetically Right in Uncategorized on March 21, 2012
Today, I am excited to bring a little bit of news regarding Unapologetically Right. I am genuinely happy that you are reading it and, especially for those of you who think enough of it to “follow” it. Thank you. I don’t want to over sell or go overboard, but, if I’m honest, I wanted to do this thing to get my thoughts out, of course. However, I had said if only one person gets it, then my goal is done. Well, far more than one person gets it, apparently. There is still a long way to go and a lot of room to grow. However, I feel like Unapologetically Right is off to a good start and I intend to keep it that way.
The unfortunate thing is that I am just one guy. I have a full time job and I can’t do it all on my own. I would love to do so much more reading and researching to bring more information to everyone. I would love to get into more history and relate it to today’s issues. I would love to have the time to follow more stories that are published across the web every day. So, where is this going?
I am excited to bring 2 Unapologetically Right announcements!
First of all a good friend of mine believes in what’s going on here and understands the situation our country is in and wants to help. So, Unapologetically Right will have an official contributor/writer besides me! This allows us to keep a little more steady flow of linking stories when it’s worth a link, or commenting on necessary topics, more regularly. I’ll keep doing my thing, but he’ll be adding some stuff as well.
Now for the second announcement: Starting in April, we will be launching the Unapologetically Right podcast! It will be a weekly show. There might be a little overlap with the blog, but it will be so much more! We’ll bring you more real American history that’s ignored in school, more of what has made America exceptional, round table discussions, guests when possible, portable recorder fun (where we’ll talk to random people on the street), and who knows what else will come out of it! We know it will be fun and, hopefully educational. More details coming soon so stay tuned!
I hope that you will keep coming back. Follow the blog, listen to the podcast when it launches, and leave comments! You can also follow us on Twitter @unapoloright. Please leave comments on the blog or tweet us. We’d love to hear from you!
The Road We’ve Been Dragged Down
Posted by Unapologetically Right in Current Events, Politics, social issues, Uncategorized on March 20, 2012
I’m sure everybody has seen the 17 minute kiss-up video that is nothing more than a propaganda film, heralding Obama as some kind of savior. (If you should want to waste 17 minutes of your life, here ya go.) Well, let it be known, he’s no kind of savior – especially for Americans. A savior for marxists and socialists, sure. However, nevermind that dribble. Here is a short video of some facts of what has really been going on beneath the government painted sunshine and lollipops. A reality check. Just watch and remember. Ask yourself, am I better off now than I was 4 years ago? Then, can the country survive another term with this administration?
