Status update . . .

I post this today to, simply, let you know where I am with Unapologetically Right.  It is no secret this administration is an absolute disaster.  I have never seen the level of anti-American, unconstitutional mess, along with the lying, deception, and corruption in any administration.  It may have been there, but I, personally, have never witnessed this level of crap before.  They knowingly and willingly have us on a suicidal path at a breakneck speed and I can’t handle it.  There is plenty to talk about.  I could rant all day about everything in the news, but, ultimately, where would that get us?  All of us can gripe and point out the obvious.  Thankfully, there are many fellow bloggers, talk show hosts, etc. that are sharing the news, opinions, and truth and they are getting the job done well.

I have not posted anything new the past week because as soon as I committed to rolling this out, again, a potential opportunity came up.  The last several days have had me mulling it over.  As I type this, I am leaning toward taking the opportunity.  It is, essentially, a second job, in youth ministry . . . something I did several years ago.   If you are an Unapologetically Right reader, or if you ever heard the podcast, you know that I am a Christian and I believe the fundamental root of the issues we face in this country are spiritual.  What better way to work on the issue, at a grassroots level, than in a “ministry” that focuses on the youth, faith, morals, Biblical principles and honor?

If I do, in fact, take this new role, it will further limit any research time I have to bring to the blog.  Truth be told, my vision for the blog has changed somewhat, anyway.  I’ve reached a point where I honestly do not believe that we, nor anybody, can move forward . . . to actually progress . . . . without first stepping back.  Until we know and understand who we are, how America was founded, why, by whom, what makes certain values American, etc., we won’t move anywhere except backwards.   Until we get our history, we will never move forward.  We have to take many steps back to re-trace our history and return to what was successful prior to moving forward.  (I’m talking actual “progress” and “moving forward” . . . not the bullcrap way the progressives have hijacked the terms in order to beat us into submissive slavery.)

So, regarding the blog, that’s my current vision.  I would really like to take some time to research more history and bring it to you, to simply remind us all who we once were, what made us great and the events and people that enabled the greatest amount of true progress throughout all of history!   The problem is, I’m a visionary . . . I envision big things that are beyond my means of getting them done easily, or alone.  If I take this 2nd job, I will not be able to read and research as much.  I will post when I am able, but it simply will not be at the frequency I’d like.  My apologies for that, but I do appreciate the encouragement several of you have given and any prayers you may offer as it seems I may step back into the world of ministry soon.  I do hope to keep writing and sharing things with you, as the opportunity presents itself.  Thank you very much for your patience, and thanks for the encouragement you’ve given along the way.

If you have not “liked” Unapologetically Right on Facebook, yet, do that now.  As I get busier, I might be more likely to post smaller things on the FB page in between bigger blog postings.

I will share more as soon as I can!  In the meantime, read and learn America’s history, as well as the Bible.  We’ll never get out of this funk until we do so!  Stay strong, patriots!

God bless America!

Land of the Free and Home of the Brave?

Our national anthem ends with the majestic words, “ . . . o’er the land of the free and the home of the brave.”

Those poignant, straight-to-the-heart-of-the-issue words distinguish the American spirit from all other nationalities.  We have always been unique and set apart.  Does that still ring true?  Today, in the mere 4th month of the Obama regime’s 2nd term, can we honestly describe ourselves as the land of the free and the home of the brave?  First off, how about the first half?  “The land of the free.”  Not “a” land of the free, which relegates it as an option.  Rather, THE land of the free.  Are we still THE world’s last best hope for freedom?  How about the other part – regardless of if we are “it” or just an option, are we actually still free?   We have been seeing our freedoms erode and taken from us a lot, but Obama and his cronies’ efforts seem unprecedented.  Are we free?  That is certainly debatable, but I’ll let that remain rhetorical and get to my main concern for today:  the second part of that phrase.

. . . . the home of the brave.

Growing up, I would always associate that description with our brave men and women of the military and of our forefathers who bravely fought and courageously persevered so that we may be the land of the free.  While that is infinitely relevant, I feel like it could be meant for all American citizens, as well.  Americans are brave.  We look evil in the eye and defeat it.  We stand on principles and understand that, though, we don’t always agree on everything, we must stand together and support each other, because if your freedom is taken, mine is next.  We have the tenacity to try and try again in order to succeed after failure.  We have the fortitude to believe in the rule of law rather than rules of men and to make the tough decisions.  I could go on and on, but I trust you get the idea.   As I think about these things, I wonder if these are still true.

Do we still believe in the rule of law?  Do we still try to support each other’s rights (I’m talking actual Constitutional rights, not privileges that so many confuse as rights these days) ?  Do we still look evil in the eye and defeat it?  Do we face failure with determination and perseverance?

I know many of you – many Americans – as individuals do have those qualities.  But as a nation, do we have the spine that we used to and stand as the “home of the brave”?  If we’re all honest and look at what is happening, the answer is clear.

I’m sure you have kept up with recent news as much as, if not more than, me.  However, allow me to give just a couple of glaring examples at where we are with the morons in D.C. and the media.  The Blaze has been breaking information this week on the Saudi national that was held as a person of interest right after the Boston marathon bombing.  Here is a link to the story with the main points.  Why, after the brothers were caught, did we not hear anything else?  Why did DHS, FBI, and ICE seem to change their stories multiple times about who the guy is and what the whole deal is/was?  If we didn’t have such a corrupt bunch of worthless liars in “leadership” positions, we wouldn’t have this humiliating 3-ring circus.  Then, in the media, as soon as we found out who the Tsarnaev brothers were, one of the MSNBC idiots spoke up and said that their “Muslim faith at the moment bears little relevance to the investigation into the brothers’ decision to attack the Boston Marathon.”  Thank you for that completely moronic insight, Melissa Harris-Perry.  Isn’t it safe to say that, if they went to a mosque that taught extremist Islamist views and promoted violence in their little “jihad” and were radicalized in this “faith” (which is the case), it seems that it is 100% relevant.  Since we have been at war with Islamic terrorists, I think that is the exact issue to recognize.  However, our mainstream media, nor the regime, chooses to define our enemies and even admit that Islamic terrorists are a problem.  Holy crap, I read recently, the AP announced, under the influence of CAIR, that it is banning the use of “Islamist”  (this, of course, happens after they already quit using the term “illegal immigrant”).  Political correctness rears its ugly head.

This type of cowardice is what is killing us – politicians lying and completely ignoring our Constitution or facts, while the media is complicit, negligent and criminally irresponsible in their reporting.  I don’t have a solution.  I’m just thinking and wanted to ask, are we still the land of the free and home of the brave?  When those that should be leading and exposing truth are so worthless that they won’t even use a term that labels an enemy, we have big problems.  They won’t define it or stand up to it, but, rather, bow down to it.  Good lord, people.  That is not America!  I hope and pray we can find our soul again, but, as I’ve said many times in the past, it will not come without spiritual renewal.

We must search our own hearts and reach the level of resolve that we need to stand strong in tough times . . . as individuals, first.  Stand for truth and for what matters and, hopefully sooner than later, we can get our country back.

Back in the Saddle . . . Here we go!

It has been a long time since I have posted anything and please accept my apologies for the drought.  There certainly has not been a drought of material to discuss!  However, as I had mentioned a while back, it became much easier to talk about things on the podcast rather than sit at a computer, writing, after sitting at a computer at work all day.  Bottom line is, I just need to find my groove and timing, again.

As I restart my blogging, it seems only natural to briefly ponder what we have witnessed in our world the last 4 months.  I know the last things I posted were regarding the complete idiocy and lies of “gun control” after the Newtown tragedy.  Unfortunately, this administration can never let a crisis go to waste, so, four months later, we still see them parade the grieving families around to push their socialist agenda of gun control.  I have never heard so many absurd, mindless, and baseless cries to do away with the 2nd amendment as I have the last few months.  Of course, those cries are always without logic and fact, but they have become even more of a nuisance with more and more of Hollywood standing up and talking out of their back ends (see Jim Carrey and Jay Mohr for starters). Just for fun, Thomas Sowell recently wrote a piece on Townhall.com that made the point of gun control being completely devoid of facts.  Read Sowell’s thoughts and do your own research.  You can easily see there is not a case for “gun control” other than feeling good about yourself, like you’ve “done something.”  In this case, we don’t need to “do something” to pat ourselves on the back and feel good.  By politicians “doing something,” my right to defend myself is in jeopardy; therefore, my life is in jeopardy because the politicians choose to act more mindless than a single cell organism.  So, this is a situation where we don’t need to force something stupid, but simply understand that evil exists and always will.  What we can do is educate ourselves, be prepared to defend ourselves, and deal with the heart issues in which evil resides.  If our society was still a God-fearing, moral society, this degeneracy would not be where it is today.  I am confident of that.  This is simply not a legislative issue and we all know it has nothing to do with crime or guns anyway.  It’s all about control.

How’s the economy been lately?  Well, the administration would tell us that everything is improving and we’re recovering!  However, allow me to offer my standard call of “bullcrap.”  You see, while they try to make the blind sheep believe that all is well, we have record numbers of people on food stamps.  That’s not the sign of an improving economy, is it?  “But wait,” say the liberals, “unemployment went down to 7.6%!”  Yes, but not because there are more jobs.  That particular number went down because the size of the work force shrunk.  We have a record number of people out of the work force . . . over 90 million people!  In fact, this is so crappy and we have moved so far “forward” at such a high pace under the Obama regime that, I guess, we’re lapping our own alleged progress.  Those figures put us back to 1979 levels!  You know, kinda like when everything sucked under Carter?  Man, moving “forward” is great, isn’t it?  Well, . . .  for communists who believe in fake utopias, I guess.

Another crazy thing about our economy recently has seen our Dow at record highs.  Yet, we have record numbers of people on food stamps and out of work?  Oh, wait, that’s right . . . it’s not really based on anything except the Fed pumping $85 billion per month into the system to falsely prop it up.  (Here’s another link on this from Fox Business.)  This will come crashing down, folks.  This is not sustainable at all.

Besides these big things, we’ve also seen evangelical Christians at the top of a list of groups for our military/government to watch.  Similarly, a Powers County, Colorado undersheriff reported that a DHS training seminar taught officers to watch Bible believing Christians carefully.  Why would they be considered a threat to the government?  Because they believe in America’s Judeo-Christian heritage.  They believe in the Bible and take it literally.  They disagree with the current direction of the country.  Because of these stances of good, Bible believing Christians, this government, apparently, lumps them in with what they call the “sovereign citizen movement.”  To my understanding, that is a weird movement of folks who believe they are completely “sovereign,” independent of any government, therefore, are not bound to that government’s laws, taxes, etc. That is nothing like evangelical Christianity.

Of course, just this week, America has been attacked again by some low-life(s) at the Boston marathon and my prayers are with those who lost loved ones and who are injured.  I know this kind of thing can always happen because, as previously stated, evil exists.  However, can we really say that this administration has made us any safer, or given us better standing in the world?  The answer is obvious.

I could go on and on about what’s currently happening (and I will in future posts), but suffice it to say that plenty has transpired since I last posted.  Unfortunately, very little of it is good.  This country is not necessarily the “shining city on a hill” anymore.  We have forsaken our morals, God, and our founding principles.  What we endure, now, is simply the consequences of such irresponsibility and defiance toward God.  Can we make it better and right this thing?  Sure, but it will be a long, hard process.  It will take perseverance and resolve like never before.  It will require us to encourage each other and stand with each other and shine the light on evil . . . and standing up to evil.  We’ve talked about it before and it is clear:  we MUST return to God and our founding principles.

I leave you with a moment in our history that probably would never happen today.  In David Brog’s book In Defense of Faith, he discusses some of the civil rights movement.  He tells of that day in August 1963, when Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. gave his “I Have a Dream” speech at the Lincoln Memorial.  The point is not so much the speech itself as it is in the newspaper reaction the following day.  While all the papers praised King and built up what a tremendous and eloquent speech he delivered, one veteran journalist tapped the brakes and spoke a nugget of truth.  Writing for the New York Times, James Reston stated that “the first significant test of the Negro march on Washington will come in the churches and synagogues of the country this weekend” (pg. 211).  Reston believed one of the major marks of the march was to “demonstrate support for President Kennedy’s landmark civil rights legislation” (pg. 212).  However, he also knew that any political success went far beyond politics.  Reston went on to say:

It is no good waiting for a political reaction in Congress, for if there is no effective moral reaction out in the country, there will be no effective political reaction here.

This whole movement for equality in American life will have to return to first principles before it will “overcome” anything.  And as moral principles preceded and inspired political principles in this country, as the church preceded the Congress, so there will have to be a moral revulsion to the humiliation of the Negro before there can be significant political relief. – from “The First Significant Test of the Freedom March,” New York Times, August 29, 1963

The point?  A nation’s politics and leadership is a direct reflection of the moral aptitude of its people.  We cannot expect political change for the good until we fix the heart of the country.  Only when we become moral, as individuals, will we elect moral leaders and see fruitful results.  Returning to the standard of our founding principles and God is our only option of saving this great nation.

Are you still with me?

Merry Christmas!

It is very easy to lose focus or put our attention on many things that, though important, aren’t the most important thing in the world.  This country is in dire need to turn around and return to our foundation of the Constitution and Biblical principles.  I am convinced that we will not survive, as a nation, much longer down this path.  Our freedoms are threatened.  Our bank accounts, income, and jobs are threatened.  Our very way of life is on the line.  Yet, while these things are VERY important and should not be ignored, it is that time of year to bring something else to the forefront and consider what is the most important.

Each individual.  You and where you are spiritually.

Just as our beloved country is in dire need to be saved so is each of us, no exceptions.  Whether you believe in God, or not . . . whether you believe Jesus is the son of God, or not . . . . no matter what you believe . . . we are all equals in that.  We are sinful and in dire need of a savior.  We have no way of being good enough, on our own, of making it into Heaven, so we need a savior.  That is what we remember at Christmas:  the coming of our Lord, Jesus Christ, in the humble form of a baby, to live a perfect, sinless life and be offered as the sacrifice on the cross that would pay the debt of sin.  While his love and sacrifice covers everyone, it is an individual thing.  Had you been the only person created, He still would have given His life for you.  He paid the debt of sin for you and for me so that we can have a right relationship with God and spend eternity with Him in Heaven.  It all began in that barn that night in Bethlehem.  I’ve chosen to accept His gift of life.  What do you choose?

To bring it back to the country, if we all turn back to Him, we can revive the life of this great nation.  That is what it will take.  No government.  No government program, no amount of “stimulus money” to be printed . . . nothing, except turning back to Him.

I pray you and your families have a blessed Christmas.  That you know Him and, if you don’t know Him, that you seek Him and come to know Him.  Now, I leave you with a television clip that would never be allowed  to be made these days and it gives us the true Christmas story.

Merry Christmas, everyone!

Stop Gun Ignorance!

It seems everyone continues talking about “gun control.”  So, I’ll add some more thoughts and a personal story to the mix.  For all of you who have followed U.R., you know I am pro gun.  For me, “gun control” is basically shot placement.  It’s about shooting a tight grouping.  For liberals, “gun control” means stripping away people’s right to defend themselves against the always armed criminals and giving criminals free reign.  What this type of non-sense does is make citizens subjects . . . subject to the government that wants to disarm them and subject to the merciless criminal one may encounter at any time.  I don’t know about you, but I consider myself a citizen, not a subject, of the United States of America and am not subject to anyone but God.  To paraphrase Ted Nugent, I do not need a document or anybody to tell me when, where, and how I can protect my own right to live.  The government doesn’t defend me from dirtbags.  I defend myself.  And that’s how it will remain.

As the mindless left continues on, pontificating about how the “culture of violence” must be stopped, or we must end the “gun culture”, or whatever false, moronic phrase one wishes to insert, I must point out the idiocy and hypocrisy of them, once again.  Does it matter to anyone that the leftists whine and moan about how tragic it is that those 20 children were killed in Connecticut last weekend, yet they push for abortion on demand?  I guess the millions of aborted babies aren’t real or don’t matter.  Don’t forget, these same liberals claim to want to have that “discussion” on gun violence and all that surrounds it . . . cool, let’s talk about it.  How about we talk about arming Mexican drug cartels and letting all of those guns walk across the border and get used in murders (fast and furious)?  How about we talk about this administration running guns into Libya, then we have some of those used on us in Benghazi?  Guns aren’t the problem – it’s the good or evil person that uses it and the purpose for which he uses it.  Back to the moronic liberals – these same people constantly whine about how gun owners are violent criminals (which is a complete lie), yet THEY are the ones who are violent and hateful.  These same people that want to do away with guns (because that will surely end all violence), made multiple calls for NRA leadership and all NRA members to be lined up and shot in the wake of the Newtown tragedy.   Tweets were seen that said the following:

“All NRA members should be shot!!!! I thank you, that’s one of my own!!” – Sam Tarling

“Someone should shoot this motherf***er NRA President David Keene weighs in on 2012 election – Glenn Beck – Michael Mayer (this one doesn’t even make sense . .. I have no idea what he was trying to tie to Beck)

“Solution:  Get every member of the NRA to stand in a circle, aim & shoot!” – Very frustrated Pete

That is a small sample, but you get the idea.  For more, check out this story on the Blaze.  Here’s another one at Townhall.com.

Stay classy, libs.

Here’s the deal, none of this is about stopping any kind of violence.  Of their 2 word phrase (gun control), they’ve got one of them correct:  control.  The left will use any situation to push its agenda at the expense of the situation and those involved.  In this case, they want to disarm American citizens.  Why?  Because then they can have free reign to do what they want without fear of repercussion or uprisings.  This is the exact type of government/tyranny that the 2nd Amendment was intended for in the founders’ masterpiece.  It is to protect us from tyrannical government should the need arise.

By the way, if you want more information on why we should be even more armed (as if all the crime and tyranny aren’t enough) check out this article on how China is jumping on the bandwagon, calling for Americans to be disarmed.  Not only do they want strict gun laws, they twist the truth about crimes to their people, aka propaganda, to push their political agenda and get the reaction they want.   How so?  Much like the liberals do here . . . by misrepresenting facts such as failing to tell people that most of the crimes committed with a gun are in “gun free zones” or in places with very strict gun laws.   Do you think China’s biggest concern is the Connecticut tragedy?  (Answer:  No.)

I don’t want to dwell on that too much here, so let me switch gears a bit.  I know how they can reduce crime and violence.  The solution is easy.  Reduce crime by going after criminals.  Instead of focusing on criminals, they are coming after law abiding citizens and giving criminals free reign.  As I said in my last entry, and as logic dictates, what makes a criminal a criminal is the breaking of the law.  Any legislation means nothing to criminals – only law abiding citizens.  Instead of punishing us and dictating how, where, and when we can protect our own lives, how about going after the dirtbag criminals?!  Get the criminals off the street and enforce the laws that are already in the books.  That will solve the problem!   Done.  Now, to another part of this mess . . .

There was a church shooting several years ago, I think it was 1998 or ’99 at Wedgewood Baptist Church in Ft. Worth, TX.  Some of you may recall that.  I don’t remember all the specifics, but suffice it to say, it was a night where a youth rally was going on at the church, a crazy person walked in and started shooting.  A friend of mine, Shawn Brown, was a youth minister at this rally.  He confronted the shooter and was shot and killed at point blank range.  The criminal took the lives of several others that night, too.  When I heard the news, I was sad and angry at the same time.  At no point did I EVER think that we have a gun problem and that guns need to be taken away.  My thought was, “Why did no one at the church have a gun and stop this lunatic?”  How different would it have been if a law abiding citizen was armed and could have stopped the maniac as soon as he raised his gun?  How many of those lives lost could have been saved had someone been there to stop it.  Instead, when the only armed person is a criminal, the unarmed people can only hope they aren’t the ones getting hit.

Does a gun promote violence?  No and it is absolutely stupid and irresponsible to say that it does.  We’ve gone over this in previous posts.  It’s an issue of evil – of what is in a person’s heart.  Go read the previous post and click the links.  In the meantime, let me share with you what I told someone fairly recently about my own experience.  We were talking about carrying a concealed weapon.  She, jokingly, stated that her husband might not want her carrying anything in case she loses her temper with an idiot.  Again, that was very much in joking and sarcasm.  She is not that kind of person and would not “snap” like that.  As we laughed, I told her my view and said that it actually helps me be more aware and responsible.  Because I am a law abiding citizen and do not want to have any kind of accident that could harm those around me, I am careful about where I go and what I do.  I am friendly in my interactions with people and try to avoid being in places and situations that could be harmful.  I know that a bad move on my part could cost me my right to carry and defend myself against a crazy person and I don’t want to jeopardize that.  So, again, it helps me be more careful, mindful, and responsible while out.  I have never had a violent thought because of gun ownership or concealed carry.  However, it does give me a little more confidence and peace of mind to know that if the unfortunate happens, I have a chance, at the very least.

Here’s my theory:  Most people that are scared of guns and believe that the mere existence of a firearm is the source of violence have never been around any guns.  They’ve never learned about them, never used them, never done anything with them.  They only hold their views based on presumption, intolerance, politics and complete ignorance.  May I challenge any anti-gun liberal who is reading this, find someone you know who is a shooter and allow them to educate you.  Spend some time researching facts about crimes, including those that have been stopped by an armed citizen.  Learn the use of the gun and, by all means, go to a range and learn how to shoot it.  You’ll soon understand the fun of hitting your target and the feel of the gun.  If you don’t like it, fine.  I have no problem with that, but please try to learn and experience what you can so you can have an objective view.  For you gun lovers, perhaps you can find an anti-gun friend or relative to educate.  While this anti-gun spirit is so prevalent right now, start having the discussion with people and educate them on how great, fun, and safe guns are (in the hands of law abiding citizens).   If possible, take them to the range with you.  I am convinced that if you cure the epidemic of ignorance among the left, that might help things a little, too.  My dad is not a collector, but he’s always had some around.   When I was young, he taught me to shoot and taught me gun safety.  I was raised to understand them and to respect them.  I knew where they were “hidden” growing up but never had the urge to play with them and do anything stupid, because I respected them.  However, if anyone were to break in while I was home alone, I knew what to do.   The biggest issue is ignorance.  With education and truth comes understanding and liberty.

By the way, a co-worker sent me this graph the other day.  It sites 3 official sources, but I don’t know where it originated or who did it.  So, I don’t know if it’s 100% accurate.  Whatever the case, feel free to verify it if you want.   I leave you with this for today.   Thanks and go spend some time at the range this weekend!

Note on the Podcast’s Fundraiser

Hello everyone!  I have not been as regular writing lately, but I’ll admit that it is more of a challenge to write now than it was when I started the blog last spring.  When  I started this, I was at a job where I was on my feet all day.  So, coming home and sitting at the computer was easy.  Now, I have a job where I sit at a computer all day :)   It’s great, but when I come home, I don’t always want to continue sitting at a computer.  So, it is easier for me to do the research and talk about it rather than write a lot.  However, I’ll continue as I am able.

My main point is about the podcast.  I have purposefully refrained from badgering everyone to contribute to the continuation of the podcast.  I put the fundraiser up and have posted a couple of small reminders here and there, but that’s it.  Perhaps I should have done more, but I have trusted that if you really do want the podcast to continue, as I do, maybe the support would come.  Well, I am here today saying that, as I type this, there is just about 35 hours left on the fundraiser and I only have one pledge.  Simply put, this thing cannot start up again without your support.  Unless a miracle happens in the next day or so, it’s not looking good.  I’d love to do it, I just cannot make it happen on my own.

So, it’s up to you, friends.  If you want it to continue, please see what you can do to help.  If 99 people pledge $20, then we’re golden!  That’s not bad.  If you can, please click here to go to the site and pledge.  Nobody’s card is charged unless the “tilt” amount is met, which is $2000.00.

Whatever happens, thank you for reading.

Another Tragedy, Another Day of Common Sense About Guns

Never let a good crisis go to waste.Rahm Emanuel

It’s been a couple of days since the Connecticut tragedy and, as usual after such a horrific event, I must interject some truth and common sense.  First off, to all of you in the Newtown area, know that we are with you in spirit.  We pray for you to be able to work through all of this, by the grace of God.  We pray you will look to Him for whatever answers and comfort you need . . . not look to any harmful or false answers.  It is heartbreaking and we wish you the best as you try to pick up the pieces.

Being that I have no spouse or children, I can’t quite identify with the level of pain that the good folks in CT are dealing with.  It is impossible for me to have the same depth of empathy as those who are parents.  So, please understand that I empathize and hurt for everyone up there, but I can’t even begin to know what they are experiencing.  My focus in this column is not to dig into the lives of the people up there or try to understand the mind of the killer.  Today, I want to provide some perspective and address the absolute irresponsibility and politicizing by this administration as well as the sheer idiocy of the left and the complicit media.

We all know that the left criticizes conservatives and accuses us of knee-jerk reactions and politicizing such atrocities.  It is, in fact, the left that does this.  As usual, they will do exactly what they accuse conservatives of doing and tell their mindless, sheepish followers what they should say . . . and the stupid sheep follow.  Within hours – I think it was about 4.5 hours – of last Friday’s shooting, dictator obama was on tv telling everyone how “inaction” was not an option and that he would take “meaningful actions” to make sure that this kind of thing no longer happens.  Before that even occurred, the idiots at MSNBC were already clamoring for massive gun control laws and gun bans.  Last night, when I just wanted to watch a little bit of Sunday Night Football, mr. dictator was on tv, again, whining again, on the need for gun control, though he never used that actual term.  He, also, put the emphasis on the collective raising our children rather than mentioning any type of individual responsibility, or freedom for that matter.

As much as it seems necessary, I don’t want to beat you down with the exact same thing I have stated before.  If you want to know what the founders intended regarding the 2nd amendment, as well as how Britain fares after banning guns, read this past entry.  If you want to know more of what I previously said on the subject, check this one out.  For today, I’ll keep it a little more simple and take it another direction.

First off, what makes a criminal a criminal?  The thing that gives a criminal such a label is the breaking of the law.  That is it.  So, if criminals are the ones committing violent crimes, what good can it possibly do to pass all kinds of anti-gun legislation?  It won’t make one ounce of difference!  Well, no it will, too.  It will make violent massacres and crimes that much easier because law-abiding citizens will not be able to defend themselves from such dirtbags.  Forgive me for any liberals reading this, but I must use facts . . . those pesky things that you ignore:  where there are more restrictive gun laws, crime is higher than where the citizens are able to defend themselves.  Look at Detroit, D.C., Chicago . . . for crying out loud, look at “gun-free zones” such as schools and any other establishment that prohibits anyone having a firearm on them.  That doesn’t do anything except make law-abiding citizens a free buffet to the always armed criminal.  Also, for more facts and things to read up on, check out this article from Breitbart.

Another question, if I were sitting next to someone in a room, stood up, picked up my chair and bludgeoned them to death, what would your reaction be?  Is it possible that the chair did it?  Is there any chance that the chair was evil and caused me to stand up and commit that act?  NO, it is NOT possible and I’m sure that anyone . . . even a liberal . . . would blame ME, not the chair.  The blame would be all on me for being a violent or crazed lunatic who took an innocent person’s life.  If it’s not the chair’s fault in my illustration, why does the left insist on mindlessly blaming an inanimate object in “gun crimes.”   A gun is just as much a tool as a chair, or any other object one might use to inflict harm on someone else.   Since the left is so convinced that no crime would exist if guns were taken away, I wonder if it matters that the same day this school shooting happened, 22 elementary students in China were injured by a crazy man with a knife.  Strangely enough, no one blames the knife or calls for “knife control” or to ban such things.

We do not have a “gun culture” as some misinformed idiots suggest.  We have an evil culture.  Evil is real.  Evil exists and is prevalent in our culture.    You can never legislate against evil.  That is a moral issue . . . a spiritual issue.  No legislation will help, but will undoubtedly make law-abiding citizens in harm’s way of a violent lunatic more probable.  So, how do we fix evil?  The heart of the citizenry must change.  We must return to our foundation and return to God.  Bigger government and more legislation NEVER works and that is a proven fact.

We live in a society, now, that has chosen to kick God out of everything.  This culture no longer teaches kids right from wrong.  Rather, kids are taught that everything is ok, as long as you don’t hurt other people.  There is no absolute truth or right or wrong.  Kids are wussified into thinking that everybody deserves a prize . . . . even if you’re the slowest person in the race, you’re still treated like you won the race when we all know you didn’t.  That has softened people and, I believe, helped foster the overwhelming sense of entitlement we see today.  People are so fragile, with no foundation of Truth and no sense of right and wrong.  Personal responsibility is not taught, but rather, blaming everything and everyone around oneself.  Here’s a fact:  every crime is the responsibility of the criminal that does it, not the object or tools used to commit it.

Speaking of responsibility, have you ever noticed that in every crime committed with a gun, the gun is blamed.  However, when a law-abiding-citizen stops a criminal with a gun, it is the person that is heralded as the hero . . . not the gun.  So, how can an inanimate object be the evil cause of violence in one instance, but merely an inanimate object in another?  That’s asinine and the left knows it.  I believe that this whole “gun control” charade has nothing to do with actual stopping crimes (since it has proven to fail every time . . . kind of like every other Marxist idea throughout history).  I believe, however, it has been part of this administration’s agenda to disarm America and weaken us to make us into a socialist nation.  Don’t fall for it, America!  It’s bullcrap of the highest order.  Don’t be quick to give up freedom for something that the government cannot give . . . safety.  We protect ourselves.  If you choose to discuss things with your enemy rather than use a gun, that is your decision.  More power to you.  I choose to be evenly matched.  Nothing will change until we get back to God and have a standard of Truth, understanding right and wrong and teaching such things to our kids.

I guarantee this will fix a lot of the problem.  Violence will still happen because evil does exist.  However, I truly believe we will see a change in the heart of our nation if we return to Truth, a standard of morality, and an understanding of right and wrong.
